That is going to be on the side of my xbox360. I am going to make my 360 black instead of this crappy white. I am not sure how to make it black. Most likely paint it. On the other side It will say "Xbox 360" In a blood look. The face plate of my 360 is going to look something like this http://www.cs.indiana.edu/midwic/lightning.png
or this

If you know the best way to make it a different color then please tell me.
Otherwise any questions?

vinyl dye is meant to be the best for coulouring plastic as far as i know
.Maleficus.

Or paint made for plastic (Krylon Fusion, etc).
Thanks. Anyway how do you like the design?

I was also going to mention the dye, I have seen it work quite well. Those graphics are very cool, but complex. You will need to do some strong planning to reproduce those images on the unit. Would look great if you pulled it off though so start planning!
Im not very good with air brushing. I was just going to print the pics on sticky paper and put it on then do a coat of the clear paint stuff (forgot the name).
Is that a good way?

if you have a really good printer i would think. also i would try to find the thinnest printable paper.

A good way to do it may be to have it printed by a local print shop (for very high resolution) on transparent projection paper. Then you could fix the printout to the back of clear plexi with a back light. That might work pretty good.
Im not using any plexi. I am afraid to open the 360. Because if I do i destroy my warranty.

Well, you could mount a thin sheet of plexi as a window type of fixture without having a hole cut behind it. More of just an external panel with accent lighting.
like the idea... Ill try it.

as far as your sticker idea goto the hobby shop they have transparent sticker material that will run through your printer all you gotta do is edit out what you want to end up clear.

going with what jdbnsn said you can get some glow wire or EL wire and put it around the plexi making it glow. then hide the wire with a boarder.
El Wire

I don't know if EL wire would be bright enough. I used it once and it was so dim it wasn't worth the trouble, but I could be wrong.

I'm not TOO sure, but I think painting the 360 might void the warranty anyways
and besides, you have to open it and paint the panels seperately if you want a good paintjob (plus if you drop it or something when working on it, you won't break anything vs breaking a 360)

i suspose you could use some super bright LED's and drill holes for them and place them into the plexi.
Ya i think your right omega. Im going to open it. The worst that can happen is i have to buy a 360 again. Anyway i am going to try to work on it this Weekend. I am also going to install some fans to keep it cool. Hopefully it works.
Thanks a lot for your help!
UPDATE
Ya its bin a while! Anyway , A window will be add to the 360 aswell as black lights. The 360 in blood has bin changed to invisible red black light paint (what?) i no i didnt understand it either at first. When you start the 360 the black lights go on and reveal Xbox 360 on the window in reddish (text color not decided). the 360 greenish leds will be changed to blue to match the face plate of the tree and lightning ( AS SEEN ON PAGE 1). A outline of the 360 will be done in glowy wire the rim of the top and bottom in (color not decided)
