i have a vantec fan and light controller on my new PC. it has three knobs for controlling fans and one knob attached to a built in cathode inverter. my case is the aspire X dreamer II which has very bight LED lights on the front that can become anoying from time to time. right now the only way to turn the lights off is to open up the MOBO side of the case and unplug them. is there a safe, relitivly easy way i could have the cathode knob work the lights on the front of my case?

If you could find a 4pin to 2pin (I'm assuming since its cold cathodes) converter thing with a pass through yes.but then youd need a 2pin y splitter to make them work all at the same time.

i dont have any cathodes pluged into it. and was worried about overloading my LEDs since the voltage is much higher

well is the connecter on your vantec a 3 or 2 pin connector for the cathode potentiometer (knob)?

i beleive it is a two pin. the type that i have commonly seen on stand alone cathode inverters. the knob has 3 positions off sound reactive and on
