hey, i just joined and would like to know the materials needed for case modding. i plan to mod mine later on after i get some more knowledge and would like to get the tools and etc first.

what kind of tools would you guys recommend?

and do you know any of any places to get sheets of metal and plexiglass and anything of that sort thanks.

First welcome to your new addiction :)
For help you for tools, we may need some direction like what kind of mod you plan to do.
And search the forum for your component, there's plenty of good links all around.

To answer your question, there are a multitude of different materials and tools that you may or may not use. A dremel is a good tool to have and start with.

as for modding, i haven't thought of something yet, but will start getting ideas down when i get the tools.

mouse mods are nice to start with or changing out LED's i've changed my floppy drive (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8842) and dvd burner LED's from green to blue to match my black and blue theme.

post'em! i'm not to much into actual full blown case modding, atleast not yet. i'm still working on getting my system up and running. once i get out on my own i might start a Resident evil Case, who knows.
