hehe. What do you guys think? Waiting for price cuts on the 22nd. I'll be stuffing all of that into a Thermaltake Armor case.

I noticed that PSU is sold out :-/ I like that one too. Any other suggestions for one? I'm in love with modular cabling, and plan on going SLI in the future with an additional 2gb of RAM. I think 780 watts should handle it, and its got more 12v rails then I should ever need.

Might look at some other sites for that PSU, I'm sure someone else reliable has it.

You'll need to make that a Public Wish List and link us to that. It's linking me to a Wish List that isn't anything, just the Wish List page.

you have to upload it or something let me do a bit of research.

ok so add all the stuff you want to your temporary wish list then go to the next tab over (saved wish lists) and create a new one then go back to the temporary wish list and select all the items. then move them to the saved wish list you created.

here (https://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.asp?ID=5568412) is mine, i think it will work.

ugh... its not working. just highlight your list and copy and paste. you have to move the wish list to the public one but i'm not sure how to.

One that a lot of people seem to overlook... OS! Vista I'm guessing.

Otherwise, looks like a sweet system. If only 8800's would go down in price too... I just got done installing the Lost Planet demo, and I guess my X1600PRO can't handle it very well, even with everything on low :(.

Considering that PSU instead.

Oh, I havent fully decided on the OS yet. I want vista, and I will probably dual-boot with Linux (never used Linux before, but I want to give it a shot)

So whats the best priced version of Vista? I'm guessing go with OEM Premium. Is there any real advantage to the Ultimate edition?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116202

Thats the version im looking at. I assume 'system builders' version just means its OEM and no manual etc?

If you need all the Bells and Whistles with all the business and office stuff, get Ultimate. If you just want a home system with Aero, get Premium.

Linux is cool. Check my Linux in a Nutshell thread when you start out. It may help (or at least that's what I was going for).

Does office 2003 still work on vista?

the best vista is the one that you don't have to pay for!
i would link you to a download but thats against the rules........

I thought of 'aquiring' it somewhere, but those special versions cant normally be updated, something of a requirement for using Vista.

games are one thing but your os should be clean and pure!

ya i think once crysis or alot of games come out for DX10 i'm going with vista premium.
