Video/Computer game music

We all play masses of games, right? With the sound turned up full blast, right?

I'm doing music as one of my subjects in my final year of high school, and we have to choose a topic to study closely. I chose video game music, and I have to do a performance of a piece of music from a game. Even though this is for next year, I have to start preparing now, because it takes a while to get a piece of music up to a performable standard.

Do any of you know of any pieces which I would be able to perform, solo, duet or even orchestral? I play violin, so I need a piece that can show me off (they are marking me, after all).

I will have to agree with demon. Any music from the FF series. 7 had a good score to it. But from Zanarkand is beautiful.

Final Fantasy have my vote too, even if I don't game much, and don't really like this game, FF have great soundtracks.

I really liked the main theme from Crono Cross for Playstation.

I like the theme song to Hitman: Blood Money but Im into that stuff. The Halo song seems cool though.
