You are probably asking yourself, why in the world would you put nitrous on an r/c vehicle? Let’s see, monster wheelies, tire shredding acceleration, blistering top speeds, not to mention the looks on your friends face when you take the body off. So how does the NX r/c nitrous system work? Simple, just arm the mini-toggle switch, and at full throttle the system is activated. You won’t believe the difference.
The NX system comes packaged with everything you need to add nitrous to your vehicle, including a solenoid-activated spray mechanism, mounting brackets, 9-volt battery clip, and three mini-me bottles of nitrous. To actuate the solenoid, an on-off toggle switch is placed near the throttle linkage so that it is depressed when the throttle reaches 100%.

A shop near me did this under wraps. They even had a dragster RC car where the reservoir for the nitrous was in the dragster body; you'd never know it was there. 0-60 faster than a Ferrari 575

Nitro R/C cars is different to Nitrous Oxide in an R/C car though.

Nitro generally refers to Nitro-Methane in R/C cars, which is the liquid fuel the 2 stroke engine run on. Nitrous Oxide is an oxidizing agent which when added to the fuel mixture, causes it to burn a lot hotter and faster by adding a LOT more oxygen to the mixture, hence the Oxide tag.

I've always wanted a gas powered r/c car with nitrous but what i really want now is a gas airplane....but i might crash it.

For a beginner, an electric is recommended.

Note 2:When choosing your first RC plane, look for one that does not have "3 proportional channels". These have all the electronics in a box meaning it will only work with that plane. The two planes I posted above have regular receivers and servos so you only have to replace what you break and you can use those parts in other planes. (planes listed as ARF do not have electronics, while RTF have everything needed to fly)
