Ok I am throwing together a machine for my office, trying to get the best performace i can get out of it

Nforce2 400 chipset
MSI K7N2-V board
GeForce 6600GT
AMD Athlon 3200+ 400fsb
1gig total memory pc3200 (two 512 pc3200's) 400mhz

Ok my question is if i just throw the memory in there will it be running at 400mhz with my 400fsb, I want it to be running at it's full potential. Or is there some tweaking I have to do in the Bios? Should I also have ACPI enabled or disabled? I want everything running at the highest performance level with out overclocking this is not my gaming rig that I am building that is next month, but I am anal like that so lol I just want to take 100% advantage of the 400fsb with the pc3200 RAM. Any help would be wonderfull thanks

I had to set the FSB on my mobo in order to get my memory to work fully, but I couldn't tell you if it's the same for your brand and model. Just to be safe, I'd check your BIOS settings to make sure you are indeed getting your full potential. Besides, if the FSB is set low by default, even your CPU will suffer from it, needless to say. :p

As for ACPI, I'm sorry, I can't answer that question at all. I'm sure someone else would care to enlighten you, lol. ;) Good luck with your rig.
