I recently got a new phone that doubles as an mp3 player (The Samsung Sync). I know it got some crappy reviews but I think it's a decent phone and the price was right.

So here's my problem...

The phone holds a mini (or micro, whatever) SD card, so I went and bought one but now I cannot figure out how to transfer the songs on my computer to the phone.

1. I don't want to do the easiest solution and email myself enough songs to fill the card because my phone bill would be astronomical.
2. I bought a Bluetooth USB adapter for the PC but even when I link up the phone and the PC, I can't figure out how to get in, navigate around and grab the songs I want.
3. I considered getting a card reader for the PC, installing, swapping the songs, and then returning the reader, but I have never used a card reader before... do they only 'read' from the card onto the PC or can they 'write' in reverse also and put songs from the PC onto the card?
4. Is there a solution I don't know about or haven't considered?

1.haha don't i know it. i got a $350 phone bill for internet charges.

2.well since you have the blue tooth you can get software called blue soleil (http://www.bluesoleil.com/)software that lets you hook up any(i think) bluetooth device. i even hooked up my wiimote and turned it into a mouse.

3. here (http://www.cellphoneshop.net/?gclid=CIXMlp2h040CFQIgQAodgyK-dA) is a great palce for cellphones stuff cheap, my dad use's when he gets new phones. if you got the micro sd card try to return it then you can get one at the cellphone shop cheaper plus it comes with a SD card adaptor which you can then buy this usb memory card reader (http://www.cellphoneshop.net/cousbcarefor.html) for only 6.99. i got one and its a million times faster than bluetooth. its cheap stuff for cheap from china i think mostly.

4. you can get usb coards for the phone and software to do the same as bluetooth but faster since its hardwire.

Here (https://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/eula_activesync45_1033.mspx?ProductID=76) is the Active Sync Program.

Configure (http://www.amset.info/pocketpc/sync-bluetooth3.asp) Active Sync to work with Bluetooth Adapter.

That'd be a good idea.
They read and write, are very fast... and I've only had one fail me.

With my camera, that's how I usually take the pictures out.
Take the SD card out, pop it into the reader (or jump drive, w/e), and plug it in. Do whatever with Explorer... then reinstall the card in the camera.

Okay, thanks for all the help here's where we stand now...

1. When I bought my Micro-SD it came with an SD adapter so if I do decide to go with the reader I am covered whichever one it takes.

2. A little Googling showed me that this phone has an optional (ie, more money) USB direct cable just for transferring data, so i am going to my local Cingular store to pick one up tomorrow, if that doesn't work then I will look into the reader.

if the cable doesn't work, it should here (http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-2-0-26in1-CARD-READER-WRITER-CF-SD-MS-T-Flash-C35_W0QQitemZ280138657394QQihZ018QQcategoryZ83870Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) is cheap reader from ebay, only $2 with $5 shipping.

the internet bill was from mostly surfing but i did download a couple of games. it was $0.05 a k/b since i have no internet plan.

*Update*

Okay, so my local Cingular store doesn't have it in stock and the nearest CompUSA (where they said to buy it) is 50 something miles away.
I have a 30 minute haul to the next nearest Cingular store so trying that today and then I will just give up and order it online...

I went down to the Cingular store in Coral Springs and got the cable I needed, came home and the wide says we are going up to Universal Studios for the weekend!
So, needless to say I haven't actually tried the cable yet as I was busy spending money in Orlando.

You have a bluetooth adapter so it should be easy.

1.Install drivers make sure Bluetooth is working.
2.Find song (only one at a time im afraid)
3.Right-click>Send To>Bluetooth device.
4.Search fro Device>Select phone
5.Send.
6.Repeat without step 4(you shouldn't have to re-select)
