nope [looks like it doesnt], the paint is just pain glossy black. hopefull ill transfer my dell setup onto this case and have pics of it soon.

one question for everyone though: i dont have a static wrist strap, but i dont have carpet either..... should i risk taking the mobo to another case without a strap or just wait till i hit up the local fry's for one?

do those case handles actually work?

i always thought they would only work on acrylic because the top of the metal will bend on aluminum or steel cases :/

I have built soooo many computers and have never used a wrist strap. I have yet to blow out anything cause of it. Just becareful and all should be fine ^^

@luke, yea those babies hold. I BUILT THEM :D no but seriously ive been carrying the case around and they havnent budge

@Cookies, ill follow your advices.... tomorrow. word on the street is that the only way to remove a dell mobo is to remove the heatsink which means i have to have thermal paste to re-apply it >.< i need to buy a fan or two from them anywayz :D

I have never taken apart a Dell, let alone a stock computer so I wouldn't know about having to remove a heatsink to get the mainboard out. It sounds kinda stupid to do that... Guess that is why it is a Dell ;)

GL with it.

a fellow Dell owner... I feel your pain dude I really do.. not for long though muhuhahahahaha. But yea on most Dell models you have to take the heatsink/fan out to get the mobo out which is a big PAIN.

I took the mobo out of my Dimension 8200 and did not have to remove the heat sink, so I guess it is model dependent.

I know everyone hates Dell for some reason, but I got my 8200 is 2002 and it lasted until 2007! (With a few small upgrades like a new Video card and a more RAM)
The only real regrets I have about that PC is that it had Rambus ram. (Hey at the time it was new, hot and the other choice was DDR. Add to that the fact that Intel had just adopted it, and it seemed like a good idea at the time.)

Also, I now have the stripped case, you know the cool one that opens like a briefcase, for another build. All I need to do, is get a ATX power supply (I think mine is not one of the model with the weird power pin out but why take chances), and then mod the mobo tray to hold an ATX board and I am in business. :)

We had an insperon laptop from 2004. Last two weeks before it got sent in for repair. We have sent it in at least two dozen times. Only had one Dell and we will never buy another one. Hell if you were to give me a brand new Dell I would say thanks and then sell it the next day :p

Pfft I got a 17" and a 22" monitor/tv from Sony. I will never get rid of these badboys :D Plus they cost less than Dell's straight up monitors :)
