Pretty nice set up, good to see more people going with red cold cathodes. The wires are a mess though, try tucking them (and taping them to) behind the mobo tray.

Actuly i didnt use cathodes at all, the red led fans ended up giving off enough light to satisfy me though that pictures doesn't do them justice, here is an older one from when i was building.

I know the wires are a mess mostly because of a 20-24 pin psu adapter. when i get enough money i want to upgrade to an X-connect which should clean things up nicely

I retruned my x connect, and have heard very bad things about them. Will say they keep wires very tidey but witht he background I wouldnt get them.

OCZ ModStream > Xconnect. Yea, they cost more, but considering you have a nice, non cheap setup would you really wanna spend less on a part that could "make or break" your computer?

Nice computer, and I agree the wiring needs a bit of work.

again dont waste your money on a XConnect. Yes they hit the market hard and fast with flashy adds. But they need to spend more time in the R&D of a PSU to make it excepted. with the High failure rate on them I wouldn't want to see you having to explane why the computer died. They might get a Dell next time instead of letting you build it.

To all your X-Connect comments. I feel the X-connect is a keeper. Everyone talks down on them so hard, but dont let one maximum pc review turn you away. How do you know the people reviewing them just didnt get a bad psu to review? I also want to say i have used these in two builds including my predator mod. This thing powers a ton of stuff in my case and does it without and trouble at all. If you go xconnect just do it, do not doubt it. This psu isn't as bad as people like to say. Trust me it isn't a bad psu for the price and the looks. I know i read that MAXPC review and was like wow this thing sucks hardcore. I later was like well they aren't always right and sure enough this thing was everything the company stated. Sometimes you have to break the mold of what everyone else is doing. These people telling you right now not to get one, how many of you have actualy had one and experienced it? ;)

Here are some link to reviews: (funny 5 frags out of 5?)

So on and so on. Break the mold of the mainstream game :)
Lowest score was a 9.0, from the UK to the USA the scores are up there.

i know that the X-Connects have gotten a couple of crappy reviews but tell me this. would it be worse then the $30 500W no name i have now? Im also considering sleeving the one i have since i use almost all of the power connecters.

P.S If you can't see the pictures sorry, ive been having some server trouble.

Hey man that is a call for you to make. I would bump it up to a new psu no doubt. The thing is of course it has had bad reviews, but what product hasn't? Asus a WONDERFUL motherboard company puts out some pretty wack stuff now and again. Its just how it is some stuff is defective from time to time.

serously look into cleaning up wires. 20pin to 24pin adaptor shouldnt make that much mess....

If your going to spend money on a new PSU, get a good one.

Seeing 2 out of 3 Xconnect fail in friends computers, with one going up in smoke and taking a p4 3.2G system with it. Yes I will advise against using one.
