Not a bad price. I paid AU$185 for my Samsung 500Gb drives, so a fairly similar price to that is in US dollars.

It seems the prices on most Hard Drives have dropped a bunch.

Hard drive space is incredibly cheap compared to just last year. It's crazy.

It could be because a company found a way to put bits up and down rather on their sides, making it much easier to fit more space on a single disk.

That could be it, but i'm not sure if that has been implemented.
