plexi question

im here for the first time and i have some questions...

i would like to start making a plexi case...

but dont know how to fixate plexi plates in case..with glue?with screws?

i saw on one pic some nice thing :D

those can be bought or made if you really wanted, here is a link (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=314&products_id=4246) to some.

if you use screws becareful as i have heard it cracks easily. i think most people recommend a tap and die set (http://www.dansmc.com/tapset.jpg), though i guess you only need the tap. in the picture the top are die's and bottem tap's.

as for glue you can buy it at a local hardware store. i found this (http://cgi.ebay.com/Weld-On-3-Acrylic-Plexiglass-Solvent-Cement-4-Oz_W0QQitemZ300139291277QQihZ020QQcategoryZ61795QQ cmdZViewItem) on ebay which i think would work. i've never worked with plexi so anyone else want to confirm it.

yep ;) thats the stuff i am using on my OPP case and it works great!

i also recommend getting this stuff: http://www.idealtruevalue.com/servlet/the-60875/Detail

it works great and will help hold the pieces as you use the Weld-On #3 acrylic solvent

oh and since ur new: make sure you wear gloves and eye-goggles when working with solvents as they will mess u up! and avoid harmful vapors ;)
