Hi guys, I've been doing some mild to medium flavored case mods over the last couple of years, and have decided that I'd like to build myself a briefcase mod.

I have an antique(ish) halliburton aluminum case that's large enough to house my componants in the bottom, and the LCD i nthe top.

I've gotten around most of the issues I was wrestling with, but I wanted some opinions on the final piece of the mod.

I am planning on having piece of plexiglass mounted above the PC so I can put my keyboard on it. I'm thinking that I can dremel some air-holes in it, and want to put hinges so I can lift it up in case I need to do work on the PC.

Should I be worrying about static at all with a setup like this. Mobo mounted on a standard micro-ATX base-plate, which will be epoxied to the bottom of the case, with the plexiglass hovering above it?

Sorry I dont' have photos, and that may have been rambly and incoheran, but it's 4:30pm on a friday at work, so my brain is a little fried . . . ^_=

not really just make sure you use standoffs and use a anti-static wrist strap while working on it!

maybe you should try to mount the screen to the top part of the brief-case so it is almost like a laptop :/

also maybe you should mess around with the free version of SketchUp by google because it makes planning custom cases SO much EZer (i just started using it and i noticed the difference)
