"The CD drive and sound card do not work."

I'm not worried about the cd drive... but with the soundcard, would I have to buy a whole new mobo? Or are there add-on sound cards for laptops?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102185 I found this but it looks the same as the wireless cards which the guy is selling with it. Is there more than one slot? I've never owned a laptop before so I honestly have never seen the inside on one haha.

Nope, you're right. There are USB sound cards, albeit not a lot of them. Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010360057+1102608535&Configurator=&Subcategory=57&description=&Ntk=&srchInDesc=) has 17 models for sale, starting at $22 (USD) plus shipping. Heck, you can get a Turtle Beach for $20 after MIR ($25 before).

I found the deal on craigslist.

Well after a little over 2 hours of driving ( hour and 20 minutes in stop&inching traffic) I got a beautiful new laptop with a wireless adapter!

EDIT:: I just found a new cd drive for 25 bucks shipped... Once that gets here, I have a brand new unopened Dell XP pro SP2 disk waiting for it :D I am stoked.
