I wish I had the know-how to wire up a laptop screen to my desktop but all the wiring looks complicated as hell. Although a little pricing compared to other laptop screens, the picture it puts out is pretty sweet.

Unfortunately we have had this come up several times and the consensus is that it is not economical to use a laptop screen in a mod. Here are several threads that explain why..

In some cases people have been able to break the laptop down enough to be able to get the the specific parts to drive the LCD, but in most cases this isn't even an option. You can get a LVD controller from EarthLCD (http://store.earthlcd.com/), but from what I have seen they cost more then a new LCD monitor.
I wish this wasn't the case because I have at least 3 Dell screens from laptops sitting in my garage... :(
