Do you ever remember a time when Microsoft was cool? Have they ever really been cool? Microsoft has always been a company of functionality at every budget level. In recent times, Apple has had an all out commercial campaign to belittle Microsoft. There may be no other match up that has gone decidedly one way like this. I will never buy any Apple products and/or services.

Look up "CheapShot" in the dictionary you will see a little apple logo. :D

I know that in certain circles, Apple is king...but #1 among college students? Now, college might be a few years behind me - not that many - but I did not know a single Mac owner personally.


And I was in The Arts departments.

Even now, at a software company, I only know a few, and those are all graphic designers. So where are all of these droves of people Mac wants us to believe are out there? Sure, M$ might not be "cool" and "hip," but they're on 90% of the world's computers and have to design stuff that meets the needs of all of those people.


But what do I know. I run Linux. :rolleyes:

I have an uncle who is a graphic artist, and he's the only person that i know that has a mac. But he also has a Windows PC. I have another uncle that is an artist, he does a lot of his work on the computer, and his runs windows.

the only thing that comes to mind that apple really can claim is final cut pro.

Well on my campus there is a chance that Apple might actually be the number one brand of laptop, that is of course until you compare by OS in which case Apple gets dominated as HP, Dell, Acer, Asus, etc. mostly run Windows vs. Mac by themselves. What a useless statistic but it fools people.
I have to say that I'm looking forward to the retaliation ad campaign, hopefully it will include some mention of inferior hardware and outlandish costs.
