Re: question about trojan
the chances of it getting on to your system are slim. If you dont access your system from the infected one and vice versa. just dont plug a thumb drive or anyhting into. I would just reload it and get it started over.
Re: question about trojan
you mean do a reinstall of windows on my comp or the freebie thanks.
Re: question about trojan
teh freebie leaves yours sit the way it is
Re: question about trojan
If you do not use the wireless, you should turn it off. Other people can connect to your network and do evil things with your ISP like upload child porn. The fact that this extra machine connected without a problem proves that you have no security enabled with the wireless connection.
If your wireless is really turned off, I suppose it is possible that your extra machine might be connecting to a neighbor's wireless router.
Re: question about trojan
my wireless router it wierd, if you turn the wireless off, you canstill connect, but not do anything, internet and network dosen't work, you can only attept to access the web based control panel
Re: question about trojan
Could it have possibly been a neighbor's network? If not, you better check yours, and if you can still connect, maybe get a new router/modem.
Re: question about trojan
no it is my network, and is a brand new router, according to the manufactures site, its a safty feature, incase you disable wireless and can't hardwire to turn it back on, allows you to access the control panel only apperently, you still need to know the access details though, SSID is turned off so you can't see it anyway.
