BTW, the most I have is one HD with 320GB. The others are far smaller.
I have one 500GB drive in my compy.
Well, lets see...
A 160GB primary and 200GB secondary on my desktop. 160GB in my laptop. A 120GB 2.5" external and 20GB 1.8" external drive. My server has a 80GB disk. Then comes the ton of drives sitting on the self (all are IDE except a 300GB velociraptor), I have 4 x 250GB drives, 3 x 120GB, 2 x 100GB, 6 x 80GB, 4 x 60GB, 7 x 40GB, 15 x 20GB, and various others. Most are 5400RPM, a handful are 7200RPM, they fill up a paper grocery bag (well a doubled up one as single one would rip due to the weight). For a grand total of way more storage than I'll ever use at the moment.
I used to have three externals, but my 200GB drive died on me. So now I have a 250GB WD My Book, a 60GB WD Passport and the drive in this laptop which is another 40gigs.
But I'm planning on buying at least another 250gig external, but its most likely going to be a 320GB WD Passport.
Then if I EVER finally decided to start rebuilding a desktop, it will have 750gig drive in it. Unless by that time the 1TB drives are more affordable, then I'll opt for that.
You can never have too much space! :)
Take your external drive apart, and you'll probably have a working internal drive.
I have an 80Gb and a 250GB in my tower,a 500GB external, and a 750GB external. The external drives are where I store my movies and TV shows (all legal thanks). Sadly, they are getting quite full. I'll be putting the external drives in my next build, since the computer I am using right now is my family's. In that build I'll get a 1.5TB drive, so I can keep all my media in one place. I'll then put the external drives in that tower and use them for games, other storage, and whatever.
My main desktop has a 120GB in it, my other desktop has a 320GB and an 80GB in it. The laptop has a 120GB in it.
I have a 250GB and a 400GB both SATA 3gbps... I would like to get a third HDD but that's out of the budget right now.
