Bios question
Hello lall it seems when i restart my pc after its been off awhile its like it resets the bios to default.
if i go in and reset everything and then reboot its fine but if i leave it off a while and come back and turn it on it has reset to default again .
I was thinking it was probably the cmos battery does that sound right to you guys it will be this coming weekend before i can get one .
Just wondering what you all think thanks in advace .

Re: Bios question
I would say it's the battery. Does the computer have any power running to it when it's off, or do you cut it off?

Re: Bios question
If you don't cut the power off, that will be a temporary fix. It would probably be best, though, to replace the battery.

Re: Bios question
Agreed, definately sounds like a bad battery.

Re: Bios question
If it's the same size and voltage, it should work. I think they are all 1.4V.
