Black Friday
So Black Friday is coming up, what is everyone planning on getting? anything good?
Newegg's Black Friday sale just barely went live.
I can't decide if I want a Vertex 4 128 GB for $79 or if I should wait for the Vertex 3 for 49$ which is supposed to be on sale tomorrow? Decisions Decisions.
The 4 is faster but is it worth 30$ more?

Re: Black Friday
Well, my wife and I have a pretty specific list if we can fill it.
I want to get her:
1. Steam mop of some kind
2. Nice Food Processor
I've already gotten her:
1. A ton of fiesta-ware that goes on sale for ~50% off this time of year at kohl's every year.
For my dad, I might get a Nest learning thermostat. The 1st gen will be on sale for $200 at Lowe's on black friday.
For my mom, I'm painting a picture.
For both of my parents, my siblings and I are collectively scanning all the old VHS home movies to the computer, then editing them into something watchable and burning to DVD.
For my mother-in-law I want to get a certain letterpress print, but it's currently sold out and so I don't think it will get there for Christmas.
For my son, I'll get a couple Duplo books and a "1st Christmas ornament" of some kind, although it can't be tacky at all.
My family does a secret Santa for the siblings, I got my younger brother, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do for him.
In any case, all my money will be spent by the end of the weekend. No plans for cyber Monday unless the Silverstone Fortress FT02 goes on sale for ~$150.

Re: Black Friday
Black Friday deals really aren't that good anymore. Most sites started their sales on Monday. I picked up a Canon Rebel T4i and a crap load of gear and lenses for it. Xmas gift to the wife and myself.
Now this doesn't mean I won't keep checking for stuff online but I've been to the stores on Black Friday and sales really aren't that great most of the time.

Re: Black Friday
I hate crowds so from now until after New Years I don't shop for anything other than necessities.

Re: Black Friday
Picked up that Vertex 4 before it sold out, thank goodness.

Re: Black Friday
The Vertex 4 is screaming fast.. picked up a 256mb for a guy here at work, and he is beyond happy with it. :) Adobe Creative Suite and Corel Draw just snap open, it's awesome.
