Briefcase - mod
Hi, I'd like to show my latest (not yet finished) project:
The test-computer I'm using was in great need of a new housing :
and recently I got a briefcase , and I saw some interresting possibilities :
First of all , holes had to be made , the only tools I needed were a drilling-machine and some files : plastic is real easy to work with :
The CD_player was build in first :
Next the various parts put together on a self-made chassis :
And then put the ensemble in the case :
Putting in some cables :
allmost done:
Testing with Ubuntu Feisty-beta:
What needs to be done?
*painting black the white and shiny parts you see to "stealth" the whole thing a bit (within the comming weeks)
*finding black keyboard and mouse (asap)
*buying a black flat-screen (money-issue,...)
some specs (nothing hi-tech):
PIII 1GHz
512 MByte RAM
2x 20GByte Maxtor HD
Video 64 MByte on-board
cd-player
It remains a test-computer for Linux only
but , I gave a new meaning to the "portable computer" thing :)
and I'm allways open for sugestions
