i bought an older used 16 port bus for 10$. I plan to use it for my LAN parties since our population is growing faster than we can handle. Anyways, its kinda drab and 90'sish, and i would like to spice it up.

Is it a 10/100 switch? If it's just a 10, you might be better off spending a bit more and buying a new 10/100.. or even 10/100/1000.
Here's a couple 10/100 16 ports to consider. :)
a little off topic but what exactly is the "10/100/ 1000 for? I've seen a 10,000 somewhere on newegg i believe. I always though it was the internet connection that determines your speed? or are they mainly for lan?
10/100 is the most common Ethernet port speeds, preferably 100 MBits/sec. 1000 is giga-bit speed, which requires CAT 6 wire. 10000 is 10 GBits/sec, which could be utilized by CAT 6, or even CAT 7.
10/100 CAT 5/5e 100 Mhz
1000 CAT 6 250 Mhz (possible to use CAT 5e, but I don't recommend it.)
10000 CAT 6 or 7 600 Mhz
I bought a 3Com OfficeConnect Hub TP16C
its is a 10 speed, but thats not the question
I couldnt get thge link to put in my post, but here is a link to the google images page

I wanted to get some ideas for modding it
Skyscraper?
For some reason I'm thinking "Waffle Iron"... but that may be my stomach talking and the odd craving of waffles I'm having at the moment...
LOL, i was thinking skyscraper also
I saw a mod once where they made a four port hub out of a teddy bear. One port in each paw, and flashing red eyes...
