lolz, looks cool, but it'll probably be as uncomfortable as hell though ( a pain to press the buttons 2)
looking forward to seeing this regardless
I dont see this being a...gaming mouse, Also, you should make it wireless so you can have fun with your friends. "Why the hell is he pulling out an altoids tin?
well i am almost done, i just need to make mouse buttons. so here are some pictures
its hard to tell but the mouse is together in the lower picture
lol
dude, thats just awesome.
I have a buddy who has a wireless altoid tin mouse. It owns, watching him play WC3 with an altoid tin.
Heh heh, I bet it's hilarious, especially when people that aren't really computer "know-hows" and also don't get Altoids, ever, come by, heh heh...
I played the demo for WarCraft 3, that was fun... too bad the BattleChest is still $40 and it's been out for ages...
lol as I was scrolling down I didnt expect the mouse you started with to be a football...
I love seeing the things people cram mice into :D totally cool.
Haha, that's brilliant! Post some pics of the finished artilcle!
-Dave
Love it!
Similar thing to my N64 cartridge mouse
lol that is quite funny, one question... does it give your hands a minty fresh smell? :)
well its done! it works pretty good. there are minor issues with it permently right clicking, just opening and closing the case fixes it.
to get the mouse buttons to click i melted away a notch from the orginal mouse buttons and secured them in place with some electrical tape. here is a picture of where i melted the mouse.
and this is how i placed it over the mouse switch. the red is where i placed the tape, brown is the plastic, black is the switch.
This mod is hilarious. I love it! +rep
Haha, this is so silly. +Rep dude.
-Dave
I vote for front page coverage!
And I agree, silly as hell! +rep for sure!
Man that is Curiously Ghetto!
You don't ask for front page coverage, or vote for it. Jon will decide if you're worthy or not. From what i hear, the last guy why tried to bribe him had his liver surgically removed and stiched to the back of his head in just under 2 minutes.Quote:

I should also point out that Jon does a fantastic job doing the front page, so don't pester him for articles or try and tell him what to write. He does a damn good job on his own. ;)
-Dave
That thing is freakin' cool... I'ma have to do a mod like that someday... heh heh, mouse in a HDD... heh heh, but nah, I'll come up with something better...
Wow, you think its front page stuff, thx very much. i think i will start working on a computer next. once i get the money for a thermaltake armour that is.
Very creative, looks great in the end :)
BALLIN' !!!!!
that football mouse is the exact one i used!!
good job man!
An Altoids computer case?
Hmmmm....
i know you said it was destroyed but do you have any pictures?
haha, that would be the industrial size of altoids i would think. but if i had good sheet metal skills, access to lots of it, good painting skills. then that would be sick. altoids tower, altoids keyboard, and mouse and monitor cover. that would be crazy
Did you follow the link? (The "Hmmm" part is a link. :))
Given the right set-up, a little creativity and some decent Dremel skills, a computer running Linux using those Gumstix could fit pretty well inside an Altoids can...
I'm doing some research into a set-up right now. How cool would that be?
ya i check it out, it would be to slow for me. also i haven't any idea how linux runs and what not. and a giant altoids tin would be awesome. on the other hand carrying around your computer in an altoids tin would be pretty cool to.
you like the low res webcam?
ha, thats funny since that image is on google images.

your posts here and in noncomputer mods just don't add up... don't lie about doing stuff you didn't do
Unless you happen to be Glenn Domingo. Seriously though, we don't care who you are, or if you've modded or not, just so long as you don't lie, or make this place awful for everyone else. Look at me, I haven't modded anything up here.
Wow. There is nothing sadder than a poser and a fake. Thats just disgraceful.
I know how it is. I've had quite a few fake friends in the past, and it is not a fun experience finding out that they really don't give a crap. Oh, and I modded something a while ago. We have these two crappy wheel and ball mice, and I swapped out the backplate things, now one has black buttons, a black bottom, and a tanish top plate, and the other is the inverse of that... talk about weird looking, heh heh... I'ma make an Ice Breaker mouse if I ever get ahold of an optical mouse and a tin of Ice Breakers.
insane... it was simple enough to pull it off himself...
still.. I would believe it if he could prove it...
After all these guys set out to post a work that they created (myself included) it brings me down that someone would use a project from someone else. >>>><<<< I'll believe it if someone can prove it.
Found that same one from almost 2 years ago:

Whoah woah woah!!!!!!!
what the hell are you doing!?!?!?! :?
think before you act stupids!
of course its not mine, its the example from popsci.com
where in the post did i say it was mine???
you dumbasses took half my rep
i don't need all you naysayers jumping at every chance to disown me
i will have legit pictures on Monday for those that actually care, but you will probably go crying to your mothers that i photoshopped them or something
but i have to dig out my 35mm camera, develop, and scan the images.
anyways it was liquid damaged so i threw out the mouse part, so all i have is the empty logitech football mouse shell and the empty alltoids tin. i might still have the cord in my salvage box if I'm lucky.
peace out:D
Yeah, those are what I was talking about, thanks, and sorry if I was being a bit rude earlier... I can prolly get a small mouse from somewhere cheap, in fact... I think I have a small piece of junk mouse around somewhere, I don't think it works though... dumb crap that my uncle's company gives him...
