well thats interesting. i wouldnt have thought hydrogen gas would be an issue. id be more concerned about the acids eating away at steel, or even oxidation. you might be able to stop this with some cathodic protection though. cathodic protection is basically touching a more reactive metal onto the piece you want to plate. they do this with big transformers... they stick pieces of zinc on them so the transformer doesnt rust. the zinc eventually gets eaten away, but you just replace them and keep going. it may work for electroplating as well.
something just doesnt feel right about that still. it just doesnt really make sense to have hydrogen do this. i think there might be something else going on that i need to look into.

nah not yet. ive got all sorts of projects whirling around right now, plus school. midterms have come around again... and my days are pretty full. im actually not doing much of anything aside from research into keronite and chroming now... and drawing at school when im bored.
dont you worry about me though... get this mod done. im still watching. ill get my stuff done... eventually... whenever i get a break from this crap school.

i must apologize for the lack of activity, there has been some problems with the CNC mill, and the CNC is the only way i can cut thoes 45 deg angles dead streight, once again I apologize !
he gearhead how comes it? got ya cnc fixed?
well the CNC is runing now, but i just cant get any time on it, lots o orders for titanium, hhhhhmm it may be you and you'r build :D
