Something definitely changed. It was a spambot with like 12 long posts full of links. :think:

Might want to copy/paste the spammer name in here in the future, just to make sure we don't ban our buddy Aldersan. Odd how the link somehow goes to a different person now. Not sure how the backend works, but it seems to be a slight issue. Maybe needs to use a hash of the username instead of pulling an ID number from a database line number?
That's what I did, but I usually preview the post and double check the link but I was in a hurry and skipped it this time. :facepalm:
I know exactly what's happening. Basic PHP/vBulletin programming.
Let's take a look after the ?.
find=lastposter&t=26552
It's asking the server to find out the profile of thelast poster of thread 26552.
What would be best is if we keep the u=foo.
Like mine after the ?.
u=11875
Thank you AmEv. I understand how it's working now. I'll have to watch out for that lastposter link.
The safest way to make sure you guys point out the right person would be to (in IE - I'm sure you can convert for other browsers) right-click on the name of the spammer, then "copy shortcut" - paste THAT link in here - then we can click on the link which will take us to the profile of the spammer - it is then very easy for us to check all the posts made by the spammer and make a proper decision...
The link would look something like this....
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/f...ber.php?u=2692
That u= number is utterly unique to the person and should totally eradicate any misunderstandings....
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/f...er.php?u=16257
ban hammered...
Anyone else notice that the banned people have grayed-out names?
