Hi everyone, this is my first post. I have been building computers since IBM came out with the XT10 (286 - 16Mhz with 32 - 64 megs ram. I can't remember which) I paid approximately $2500 for the computer. It was the first time I ever opened a computer and found out how easy it was to build and started from there. MY actual first computer was a Radio Shack TRS-80 Model 1 with some assembly language as well as basic language required. Will be asking a lot of questions an hopefully give some good advice also. :D
Welcome to the site!
I had a TRS-80. I wound up giving it to my brother in-law a few years back. I had the flopy drive for it, the cassette tape drive and 2 joysticks for it.
Glad to have found this .....I was looking for airbrush painting techniques....I am painting a carousel horse I carved.....I wanted to use candy colors in the paint scheme. Thank You for the tutorials Comando and the information here at this sight.

hello everyone!! 'tis my first post. i decided to join you guys 'cause like many other members, i too am a case mod enthusiast. consequently, however, here in our place, there's not much materials i can use in modding.:( thank you for all your tutorials, they're really amazing.. :D
Hey guys. Decided to make my first post here. I joined because I am a case modder and love everything that has to do with modding. I plan on starting a new build log soon as well so keep a look out.:D
Welcome! Looking forward to seeing your build!
Hey all.
I have looked over some of the work in here, and i really want to do my own now. It would be my first time making it from zero, and i hope to find some help and tips on TBCS :)
My plan so far is to make a pirate chest case. I want to make it look real, like wood and iron over a see through case with red light, so u would be able to see it though the spaces made of the wood.
..and great work all. :D
Sounds like a great plan!!! Now get out there and bring it to life! :D
Welcome to TBCS!
Whoops. Crap, sorry. Uh, better late than never?
[noob Edit]
Oh, hi, I'm the new guy. "recycled" might be more accurate.
PC modding ... ah, well I'm more into the logic, microcontrollers and electronics, nuts & volts, hardware hacks. Performance, reliability, features. Make it work faster, better, stronger. Max engineering focus, quality materials and precision craftsmanship matter, artistic appeal nope. Cosmetic just isn't really a priority for me. Well, unless it's just so damned ghetto beige that *anything* would be a visual upgrade. The computer - like the 800lb gorilla - can pretty much look as ugly as it wants if it's pushing 6 cores at 5Ghz and 100fps. Not that my embarassingly old current system does anything of the sort, but a man can dream.
btw, how do I get a Canada flag by my name?
@Konrad: You say you want one here
It was supposed to be the first? Oh, well, 247th isn't that far away.
My name's Albin, I'm a Swedish student and I'm 17 years old.
I've been interested in computers for a long time but the hardware part only since about a year back since starting..well there's no real US equivalence but you go to a basic school for nine years and then a more specialized school for three years and then 4 more years at an even more specialized school. The last two are voluntary. Anways since starting the three year school I got more interested in building stuff and as a result I'm now building my first case.

hi all this is all new to me just tring to get to know what all i can do thanks .....Sean
Gday all, I've been into computers as long as I can remember, know my way around them pretty well and I've just recently gotten interested in modding after seeing some cool cases in various places. I've sort of started planning on my own project and hopefully if I keep it up (budget and frustration being the factors there) I'll have a work log to upload one day.
Hi everybody! I am Alejo from Argentina. I love the mod works that i have seen on this site, so i decided to join to this community ;) (sorry about my English :$)
Cheers!
Your English is much better than my, uh, Argentinian, Alejo.
Spanish ... yeah that makes sense.
Welcome to TBCS, Alejo, lol
Hey guys,
I've come to this forum mostly to share my case modding worklogs, and check out what else you have on offer.
I hope you'll enjoy my company as much as I'll enjoy yours!

Hello guys, Timlander here. I registered here so that I could take a look at all the awesome case mods and well as possibly post my own here soon. Since I love doing case mods myself I am always seeking new and great moding website such as this. I am currently in college getting degrees in CIT and business admin. Iv been moding and water cooling for about 2 years now, but building custom PC's since around 1998. So I suppose that's about it. :D
Oh this was my bad I did not realize that I had already made a post in here. =*( Sorry about that, if an admin wants to delete this message that is fine.
hi everyone, i would like to introduce my self here,i hope everyone welcomes me here,
i join this forum because i want to lear more about diff, art, hope everyone help me,thanks and more power!
Hello, I'm new! *duh* lol
I'm working on a custom case for my computer, Its an old Lane furniture Cedar cabinet that was really beat up looking so I refurbished it and turned that sucker into a huge case! My computer is running in the cabinet right now but as a modder things are never really "done" there is still much more to do to this cabinet, I'm looking for a thicker motherboard tray hopefully out of steel or thick aluminum, I'm also planning on building my own water cooling system completely out of polished Copper even the lines!
So far my plan for that is...
Two LARGE Pickle jars as reservoir's TWO brand new copper heater cores for a 60's Ford Mustang, a few Thermaltake Aquabay M4 HDD Waterblock's, EK Waterblocks EK-Supreme HF - Full Copper - Rev 2, and I'm up for suggestions for the other waterblocks as long as its 100% copper... I also need a large pump I was thinking of raiding the pond supply section at the hardware store, Any suggestions?
Hi I'm BobDa.
I started building my own computers back when Half-Life 2 came out a few years back. I tried my hand at some light mods, painting and dvd drive stealthing but nothing major.
I've been out of the PC loop for the last four years due to joining the military and living in Japan from 2007-2009. One would think Japan would be a haven for a computer geek... but alas living on base with dial up being the only(and extremely expensive) option for internet makes spending big bucks on a pc pretty useless.
Well now I'm a civilian again with a lot more spare time on my hands than I've been used to. What to do what to do? Get back into modding that's what! Right after I build myself an up to date gaming pc I plan on buying a spare case for the sole purpose of modding. I absolutely love anything post apocalyptic so that will more than likely be the inspiration for my first full fledged mod.
I joined this website to learn what I can from you extremely talented folks, and once I begin modding I will be sure to make a log and share it with all of you!
Hi. My name is Adam. I'm new here. I hope this doesn't violate any rules, but I wanted to give Cribbage fans a chance to "beta-test" a Cribbage-like game that I invented with a friend over the past couple of weeks.
We're biased, of course, but we both enjoy it more than Cribbage. It's more challenging, more dynamic, can turn on a dime, and has a sort of "game-within-the-game" aspect that adds a whole different level. Cribbage players will pick it up pretty easily, but it has some major differences that really make it its own game.
I'm not trying to sell anything; I just wanted to pass it along and get feedback. The rules are pretty well complete, but I'm definitely open to suggestions.
Anyway, you can view the rules here:
http://exelgraf.com/absolute-zero.htm
There's contact info on the Web page, and you can download the rules as a Rich Text document.
Thanks! I hope to hear from you. If it catches on, you can say you were there when it happened.
So are you interested in computer mods, or just getting feedback on your game and backlinks?

Hello guys!!! I'm new here.. My name is Miguel Povh aka Mpovh, I'm Brazilian, from Campo Grande (MS).
My hobby is Casemodding, and I will go to post my project here :D
Halloo,
First I'd like to say that you guys are amazing, from bored teenagers to geezers with way too much free time this community has it all... Pretty awesome.
Annnyywhoo, I've been lurking around the modding community for over 10 years now but I've always been stuck at the sidelines, I have gotten a few projects started in the past but it seems like I was cursed or something because every time I started something life would kick up a fuss and one way or another everything found its way into the garbage at the expense of a girlfriend, or family, or moving... or god knows what else.
Hopefully life butts out for a little while and my latest project won't end up in the trash but regardless where it goes I wanted to sign up for a forum account so I could share the experience... good or bad. :D
Hello everyone!
Just thought after seeing all the brilliant mods coming from out of these forums, I'd join up and hopefully spread some of my own creativity!
I plan on starting my CM Stacker 810 Worklog very soon. I have to source a new panel beforehand, as the person I got the case from did some shoddy work and actually cut into the edge of it, which I was able to clean up, but there is a gap now **will upload pics later** which ruins the whole panel.
Anyways, I hope to get to know everyone and I'll ttyl!

Greetings all!
Build my first computer my sophomore year in HS (1991) and now I work on/teach computers and communications for the military (depending on my assignment). I joined due to the wealth of worklogs to help me find inspiration for my first build which I've named Causality.
In a fit of insomnia, I tore apart an AC powered adapter that I use for priming my water loop with the PC off and drew up a quick diagram on how to throw a switch to disengage power from the PSU and power the pump from that adapter. Less of a pain to prime the system when I don't have to open the case, disconnect wires, etc. That and I discovered that Swiftech fill ports + spare 1/2 ID barb = nice pass through for running water through panels.
Hello everyone :D
This is my first post and in the next few days i would post a worklog about my first pc modding, i hope you like it, and all comments are welcome, and once again thank you for let me be part of this great community.
Welcome to TBCS Guys!!! Now post some worklogs!
well, for my frist post, i would like to send my great hello to all the member of this community
