Re: Your Latest Purchase Thread
[QUOTE=x88x;322501]Heheh, another one joins the dark side. Here, have a cookie.
Looks like not the fastest thing in the world (according to the internet it should be about equivalent to a modern 250cc 4-stroke), but should be a great first bike. And the curb weight is awesome! Makes it a lot easier to catch it if it starts to lay itself down it low speeds. Great price too; is it in fully working condition? I love the look of the 70's-80's cruisers (thus why I have two of them). :D Plus, if your state has similar rules to MD, it should be a lot cheaper and easier to register it since it's a historic vehicle. ;) Have you gotten your endorsement yet?[/QUOT
its a 15.5hp motor but i figure i could always get a different tone or beef that one up later down the road. the only thing he said it needed was tires and plugs maybe. the compression is good on it. the insurance and all that will be a hell of alot cheaper.

Re: Your Latest Purchase Thread
Heehee, I went to Micro Center today! :D
The spoils of war:
Fun story about two of those pieces.. The Crosshair (normally $224.99) was on clearance for $159.96. Then, because I was buying one of a compatible AMD CPU at the same time, I got another $40 off...for a total of $119.96! :D Then, the Koolance CPU-360 had a SKU for a $59.99 HDD on it for some reason..I didn't even notice until the guy ringing it up saw a HDD on the screen and no HDD in the pile. Long story short, their mistake was my gain..got a $99.99 CPU-360 for $59.99!
BTW, those little fans are insane! Seriously, they're just hilarious! Little tiny things, but they push just a stupid amount of air...well, at least it feels like it, coming out of them. 40mm x 56mm, 26.82 CFM, according to this site:
http://www.jab-tech.com/Cooljag-Ever...1-pr-3833.html
...at 57.7dBA. I know my AOC's will move more than twice that air with a lot less noise, but they just so funny! :D
On a sadder note, apparently they've changed their clearance policy.. :( It used to be that just anything on their clearance rack was whatever percentage off the rolling rate said. Now.... :(
Oh well, on the bright side, it looks like they're taking more off with the normal clearance prices on those items now.
Re: Your Latest Purchase Thread
My last purchase was the ASUS ATI HD6970.
Great card on it's own but don't be deceived by it!! (learned the hard way)
There is no driver support for it at all. they just started with putting some support for the HD68xx.
Probably going back to store to make a switch to GTX 580/570
