I was disappointed with Red Alert 2, it's just lame, and I love the C&C series, but EA just kinda ruined it there... sorry to go OT, but I had to say that, I get pissed off when stupid giant companies ruin games after buying out the company that made them... although, Generals isn't that bad with the expansion, and C&C 3 looks like it's gonna be awesome...
It just seemed a bit cheesy and too Hollywoodish to me. TS was quite fun though.
I'll have to try that... but I tend to build for too long and then take out the AIs after they're broke. :D I pretty much modded the first Red Alert to a totally different game... hacked the .ini file to where it was more realistic and fun to play, and tank rushes were pretty much ineffective, and the LR stuff actually shot more than one space longer than the defenses. I had fun doing that too.
I actually had fun playing it for a while, I played a ton of skirmishes and crap over the LAN, and that's all we would do, it just looks a lot cheesier to me now than it used to, and believe me, I had fun playing it, it just doesn't appeal to me at all now. I still think it should've been an improved version of RA1 though... there weren't (m)any of the same units from before, although it _was_ creative, they could've just made a different game with those ideas, or added them and improved the original. I still play RA1 occasionally too...
...and congrats on the new apartment, hopefully it fits your family better. Speaking of which, I have a pile o' crap in the corner here which needs attending to, after I do my English crap. You know how in class they go over the stories and explain it all? Well, my "tutor" (just the special ed woman) talks to you while you're reading through the story again, and doesn't help at all, just the opposite... man, got way OT here, but stuff's just annoying me today.
