Official TBCS Folding Team

Apparently, I passed 1,000,000 points about 60,000 points ago and never even noticed. Still, :banana:

I'm hoping to bring another computer online soon to supplement production. Working on getting my "spare-parts" build finalized and up for folding.

@Fuganater - While I realize with the end of the contest the number of people folding has dropped off, I also know a lot of our drop-off has been people who are actively modding/repairing/replacing their folding system. I think after the summer modding season, we'll see a nice surge in PPD for the team.

/\That. Also, people in situations where they are unable to keep their systems folding (like diluzio). And my numbers have dropped a bit since I lost my job..what with me using my computer during the day now..

Folding, to me, is about the benefits. Seeing the big numbers, or watching your team climb through the ranks is great, but it isn't what it should be about, at least in my eyes.

To those whom those things are important I could see it being frustrating to be on a team that isn't making big strides any more. I just want to help in whatever way I can, when ever it is possible for me to do so. As such, I'll ride the wave and get back into the action when I can. My units help, regardless the team that gets credit for them.

But, that's me :D.

I've stopped folding for the summer as I'm subletting a room and had to agree to go easy on the power usage. I'm trying to make sure that when I move in the fall power is included in the rent. If that happens I will definitely go back to folding.

Yeah I had to shut down my folding after the comp because summer is here and I have a Dremel that isn't "completely" burnt out yet, it's just too much of a pain to re-assemble systems over and over again... They will all be put back to work once they are put back together. :D

Well hope everyone's modding and financial issues are coming along for the better.

I just passed 98 finally and I am about to hit 1.5mil points!

When I was in college I saw a guy installing the client on all the computers that were used for rendering quite often and so were never shut off. He probably had about 90 clients running 24/7 on very powerful workstations. That's probably how most of those superfolders do it.

Yep. I'm on vacation so I unplugged my computers. Don't want anything to happen to them when I'm away for 3 weeks.

A severe lightning strike has either destroyed or damaged all the T1 modems (amongst other things) in my building. Why there was no surge protection we'll never know...:facepalm: I doubt they'll have it repaired before I move out next week, so I won't be folding again for at least a couple weeks.:mad:

My numbers are gonna be down for a while till I figure out a new place to put my dedicated folder. I finally almost have my in-law suite ready to rent, so I moved it out of there. Gotta find a new place that's similarly insulated from me though...no way am I running that in my house proper...damn thing is so freakin LOUD.

Hit two million yesterday *w00t* stopping for a bit as I will be away from home for a couple of days.

So I dropped GPU Tracker for the normal clients. There is a new CPU/SMP client out there which gives you a bigger boost in PPD. GPU client hasn't been updated yet. I did this mainly so I could intergrate a skin into Rainmeter to track my folding.

Which client is that? I don't use the GPU3 client anyway, so that wouldn't be a problem for me if it's not updated yet.

Haha, yeah...my main system is pretty messed up atm; some core system files got corrupted somehow to the point where I can't even do a repair install...and of course I never set up nightly backups this time around...and I'm hammered with work atm, so probably won't be getting around to fixing it for a while. ..and my dedicated folder is sitting in a corner collecting dust since I moved it into the house (soooo loud... -_^ ).

So right now I'm just running on one core on the E1500 in my server. :P

So catch up while you can. ;)

Def turn off the 4870. OC ur i7 to 4.0, turn on big adv, and hit 25k+ ppd...

Good to know! lol I have been gaming a lot on this rig so it doesn't sit idle enough to justify folding the rest of the time... trying to catch up on my steam library (which is never gonna happen, especially when I have Oblivion to play... )
