Oh my good old CCNA days I miss them. I do have a question though I have that same fan controller in black from vantech and was wondering how you got the knobs off. The only difference I see is your is a four fan controller and mine is a three fan and one cathode controller for a dual cathode setup.

The knobs just pulled right off, and the plastic diffuser cover had a nut followed by a flat washer.
Re: Project: Frankenstripe
Thats what I tried however they didnt seem to budge at all. How much pressure did you put on it because I dont want to damage the potentiometers.
Re: Project: Frankenstripe
They popped right off for me with minimal force. Sounds like you might have a very small allen-head screw holding them in place.
Re: Project: Frankenstripe
:O mate are you re-selling LEDs? hahaha cos thats like A LOT of them. Btw, if you're setting up the LEDs on other parts can I see how the whole board looks like? Cos i got no idea tho I want to do a couple for the next mod.

I'm looking into it. Most likely through Ebay. Won't make that much of a profit, but should be self sufficient at the minimum. We'll see what happens, as I have a few other ideas as well, and since I've got a website that can handle 7.5 TB of traffic a month...
Re: Project: Frankenstripe
what color LEDs do you have again? I may need some for my project :)
Re: Project: Frankenstripe
5mm -- Red, Whte (clear) and Blue. I should do a patriotic mod sometime :D
3mm -- Red.
PM me, I'll set something up on ebay with a buy it now.
Re: Project: Frankenstripe
you wouldnt happen to have any UV ones would you?
