Re: orange box computer
I have a fix for you lol.
Ever see this stuff?

Allows you to mount the plexi level with your cut.
Also these may give you a few ideas:

EDIT: Just thought of a problem with that molding. You can only use it on rounder corners unless you cut it.
Your corners will look kinda like this:

Hope this helps.

Re: orange box computer
wow man that stuff would work fansatsic. but my metal is .8mm not 3.2mm lol. and my window is either 2.25 mm or 4.5mm. id rather use the 4.5mm one

Re: orange box computer
I know how you can fix the space issue, well on the metal side anyway. You know that foam door seal you can get to go around door frames to stop dust and wind howl? Well stick some around the cut for the window (inside of the case). When you put the molding on it will sit quite snugly.
And for the plastic side you can cut the back of the molding off and attach the plexi with glue or silicon. This will stop vibration noise but I don't know how strong it would be.
That door seal is also good for drive rails, dampens vibrations a lot.
EDIT: From the link in my other post it says that there is a locking strip on the molding to hold everything firmly.

Re: orange box computer
hmm thanks for all the suggestions. but i realized another problem. i cut the window square. i think ima need to cut out some metal outta something to make round edges the jb weld it back on and bondo over whatever is left on the door panel and make it look cool with something or other.

Re: orange box computer
That would work, I wasn't aware that you had cut the window already.

Re: orange box computer
i just got my idea of what ima cover it up with. not hard at all. the companion box from portal. but just for that window. and of course the heart is going to be a fan grill. surrounded by plexi to scale of the real thing
