8800 GTS - Worth it?

You may have problems since NVidia has discontinued the 8800GTS 640MB if I recall correctly.

Personally I'd recommend the 512MB 8800GTS over the 8800GT because of the cooling... but that's just me.

it depends on the card manufacturer for the cooling design, some brands have put some nice aftermarket solutions on their cards that are quieter and better than that dumb single slot design (imo stupidest thing nvidia has done in a while)

I have the 640MB one and without a doubt it is worth it. And I don't even game.

i am getting one very soon, the reviews i have read look promising.

Even though I am an ati guy, that is a sweet card. Even if you do just get the 512, it would probably still be great.
