Got the monitor hung . . . I decided to hang it from a clothesline-like apparatus (more on my motives a little later).
Pictures are pretty self-explanatory, I think.
As you probably noticed, the weight of the monitor on left side caused some sag, resulting in a crooked monitor. So I added this support in the center:
And the reason for using a clothesline, so I can slide it to the left:
And then I can see it from my chair in the living room:

Surely you can't stop there? You won't be finished till the floor is a no-go zone! Why not suspend that big meaty speaker in your living room? Or your TV? Or your bed? You could lower things to create different rooms and...ok i'm being silly now. I'll stop taking the p*ss.
