Re: Masta Blasta
You seem to mod surprisingly fast, I just saw this today how long have you been doing this mod? I must be honest I think you have got to be the best person out there when it comes to working with plastic. I'm really liking this mod although its very simple the colors are stunning. Is the entire mod planned out by you or the friend you're doing it for? Or you just going and changing as you see fit?

Re: Masta Blasta
lot of ppl say that... think if your setup, have the right tools and parts needed mods do seem to happen fast..... but in saying that HPR3 has ground to a holt...
this mod was pretty well mapped 2 yrs ago when i built the case for son Zak... it was just a matter of me getting a few free days to knock it over.
Time to move onto the other side of the tower!
knowing how hard those dual 120's blow, i'd need a better solution to EXHAUST when these babys were tuned on...
i opted for some passive goodness and decided to install some mesh :)
Matrix goodness!
It was decided a good way to monitor temps etc and to add some class to the front would be ti install an LCD.
A matrix was the only choice.
To keep the clean sleek look @ the front a stealthed cdrom was the go.
i may add a hole later for an eject switch...for now windows can do that :)
So not to scratch up the new chassis paint job some grommets are cut in half and used as buffers for the screws.

Re: Masta Blasta
I stealthed a drive completely, my solution was placing an .exe in the windows and system32 (wasn't sure which was the proper directory). Then made a .bat file I hid the bat file that ejected the rom deep in the system. then made a short cut and placed it in the quick launch with a custom icon. I dont kno if this is the route you'd liek to take but if it is I could give you the .exe i foudn on the net next week when i get my new system/old HD running.
O and by the way still looking killer. You doing nethins special on the mesh exhaust to fancy it up?
Also I have a couple im sure annoying questions. Where did you get the mesh and the on button. Ive seen modders mesh but the stffs holes are too large. About 4 months ago I took a look at home depot and had no luck either. As for buttons i've seena f ew decent at an auto parts store. None I liked at frys or atleast that of the selection I could find, but havent had a chance to look much farther then that.

Re: Masta Blasta
If you have windows XP, just make a shortcut to the drive on your desktop then when you need to open it just right click and then eject.
EDIT: Sorry, just saw the 'for now windows can do that'
