all I can say is ... erm you aren't the first person to ask that ... lol ... actually some of my friends make that joke - a lot - but no I don't ... I shall now shame myself entirely by pointing out that I have never even seen a dremel ... except in photographs :D

Remember you could use a combination.
You could use the expanding foam to get the rough size, then paper masche over the top.
It would be lighter than just the paper masche building up depending on how big you plan to go.

For fine detail on models, I use the green stuff, I used to play Warhammer a lot. And I recently rediscovered this stuff. From my experience, this stuff is great for fine detail.
