not that I know of. I'm using my 8800GTS with XP Pro with no problems. As are a lot of other gamers who have stuck with XP as a lot of games don't run on Vista properly.
The 7950 is a good card, but the 8800GTX just beats every other card out there at the moment. Feel free to spend your money how you like though.
ya that psu should be good, i just got a enermax galaxy 850 watt. all thats left is quad core, ram, 8800 ultra, and same lcd as yours (226bw).
The Samsung is a great monitor.. No ghosting to speak of..
I run Magicolor full ( 3000/1 contrast ratio ) all the time..Really brings
out the colors in games especially.. You'll want to make your adjustments
first and then give magicolor a try.. Wonderful monitor.. and it was like
a hundred bucks less than what i originally paid for my Viewsonic 924
