thx! now look at this:D only managed to take one picture before the camera went dead on batteries:(
has been filling all day to make it a perfect fit, and now it is! just need to make the spacers for it.
hope you like it;P
Dude, this is looking sweet! +rep,
I have to ask, Where did you get your Laser cutting from?
thx dan!
cant tell:P someone might get into truble (unlikely but the change is there)
its a dude i know who works @ a company where they have loads of CNC machines... he is doing my lasercutting and engraving:) and another dude works @ a sign factory that has speacialized in acrylic text signs etc:)
wow... thats frigan awsome!!!
Looks as awesome as I thought it would mate. Fantastic work.
My local electronics store sells chrome plated aluminium spacers in packs of 10 in sizes of 5-10mm. You should have a look at your, may find exactly what you are looking for.
i will do that! thx for the tip:P i was thinking about making some myself but i know that 1 or 2 will not be even and that could ruin the look:(
You mods are always sick. +rep
thx man! tommorow ill go pick up the small parts for the mod and hopefully get alot of holes drilled xD and im gonna get the very last laserparts i hope:) hose manegement;) will look awsome:D
Excellent news. Can't wait to see how those last laser cut parts look.
cool i like this project alot
thx!
i worked on the wholes for the resevoirs today:O and DAMN... this is the first and last time i mod a antec case! this is quality made and damn hard to drill in! 5 mm hard plastic on the top and 1 - 1.5 mm alu underneath... went out of dremel tools:( so have to buy some tommorow.. didnt get the change today as i was stupid enough to forget my visa card -.-
but i can show you this:) a teaser of the new parts that will organize the hoses:D
cu:)
As usual your sketches are top notch.
cool i love this case so far
Okay, now some work on the res!
Got to make some spacers, so bought a 5 mm ID alu tube.
Tool of choice:
Made a test
And a little place to fill it on
The result:
And the wholes I cut in the top of the case. These have to be filled to fit better. Just bought some tools for that today, the others were worn down :/
Fitted the thing on! And am actually quite happy with the result. Cant wait to get this painted black!
Some of the spacers is a little off, and will fix these
And a little teaser of the raddy cover plate with fans on ;P
And some random parts
The final lasercut parts will be here tomorrow I hope, and hopefully also a little package from the last sponsors;P
Until next time! enjoy
Dude now that looks sweet. Excellent work.
that looks sweet keep it up
thx m8´s!
And the lord said
”Let there be light!”
And p0Pe said
“say plz”
Got my goods from matronics.dk ! and what a package!
So.. got the god ol’ soldering tools on the table “bed” and started getting the diodes on the pumps.
I haven’t soldered that much so I think the result was quite good! (not much to see though but it looks good aight? :P)
And light, with the flash
And without!
Money shot
And the remote control for the light:D
And the LED strips that’s gonna be the main light of the mod
And the last diodes will be places here (this is the 3 mm ones) I am thinking of ordering someone in a different colour in case I get tired of black and white. And since there is 4 holes to diodes, and the remote has 4 chanals I could mix another colour in (just cant decide wich:S)
White LEDs FTW mate. This is looking bloody fantastic. Can't wait for more.
Wow.
That thing's gonna weigh a ton.
/subscribe, looks awesome.
IDK which sounds suitable for this mod. "Pope on dope" or "case is dope"?
Dammit, gimme some of the leftover once you're done hahahahaha.
haha thx:D
cant wait to get the new watercooling in -.- with my current wc my cpu&gpu reachs 55C after 3 hours of supreme commander gaming :O but that was with closed windows and a damn hot room lol
For what it's cooling those temps are still better than stock lol.
I like pOPe. pOPe is dope.
Awesome work on that watercooling setup too!
lol i agree fuzzy
haha thx xD
i just rapped the light up last night. looks awsome in the dark! cant wait to get the last lasercut parts in:D
lol my leds are on rigt now
we like leds;P
Can't wait to see those last laser cut parts.
looks really good so far, i like!
My soldering skills = fail
Got the last filling on the res holder done
My workplace lol…
And cleaned:D
And as usual I messed it up after 30 mins;P
Got all the wholes drilled
And got the things drilled away that made the raddy a very tight fit… fits better now
Looks good:D
The dvd cover plate:D a damn nice fit!
Its hold in place by these 2 rivets in the one side
The cables from the Leds. Don’t look that bad:D
And got some holes drilled and tapped for the cover plate.
And some more spacers:D
To the cover plate hose entrance
And light! Got it all rigged :D most of it:D
Only one led in the res´s atm and still lights up pretty good:D
Placed one of the 10 cm led strips beside the fans
And looks quite good:D
I almost cant wait to get the last things drilled in place. Since I got my worktable cleaned everything has been a lot easier:D
Probertly wont get my laser stuff before Monday since there is some problems with the engraving:(
Those plates look fantastic installed my friend. When you are soldering make sure the solder is touching what is getting soldered before you heat it up. I have found that this way works best because the solder instantly washes over the solder point, ideal for cables and such.
thx for the advice:D ill try that with the rest of the 3 mm leds.. got 7 left :/
lookin great pope! i had a similar res design ive been working up!
gotta make a mess to create
and create you did
nice work
Mate congratz on your nomination for MOTM over at Bit-Tech. You get my vote mate.
what? wtf lol! didnt even see that hahah:D
thx!
agreed, great work so far! As for the soldering, I'm no expert but it looks to me like the contact surface might not have been hot enough. The way my Dad taught me was to hold the iron against the surface and make a bead of molten solder to rest on the surface of the iron just next to the contacts. Then, when the temp is just high enough, the contacts will "suck up" the solder and form perfectly.
Yeah that's kinda what I tried to explain in one of my previous posts.
lol thats what i learnt to :)
