Not me, either. And I sign for all positive and negative rep, unless I forget.
It wasn't me, but I did think about it. We try to keep this place fairly family friendly. I sign my rep.
Alright, it was just a joke. Let's all calm down and stay on topic eh?
I just picked up flight sim x gold edition, havent started it yet though. also play sim city 4, GTA-SA on PS2 (good time-killer), got supreme commander from the guy I got my video cards from , havent tried that yet either. I play armadillo run a lot (another good time killer)
I'm partial to this tutorial, which reveals the prerequisites and how-to of this "hidden feature".
Keep in mind that sudden transitions from one shade to another can lead to some bizarre results.
Sweet, thanks. +rep
No problem! I've borrowed this guy's Central Virginia terrain; rolling hills and a steeply-sloped river are keeping things interesting. He's correct in suggesting MicroDEM if you're looking at a certain area rather than drawing your own terrain.
I LOVE Flight Sim X! I have not yet made it through all of the missions but I have done most of them. I had the privilege of playing the previous Microsoft Flight Sim on Crimson Sky's Project Nighthawk with a triple monitor arrangement out at the Maker's Faire in San Mateo last year and that was the coolest flight sim experience I've had. If you have the cash and are really into realistic flight sims, triple display is the way to go for sure.
Plus, our host Microsoft sent their team out the CA for the event. Meet the two hottest tech chicks alive...
Not to get too far off topic, but any of you Sim City 4 fans out there, what are your thoughts on Cities XL by Monte Cristo? Looks to me that it'll be a proper successor to SC4 (even thought it is not by Maxis or EA).
Well, it seems like it could fill the void left after SC Societies crashed and burned. City Life, Monte Cristo's previous attempt, was more like Societies - a good idea, but not so much aimed at SimCity fans. (Actually, I'll be honest: City Life drove me nuts.) Hopefully XL will change that; what I've seen is promising.
Oh, and thanks for the +rep, guys! I'm a longtime member of SC3000/SC4EVER as well, but there are still things I go back and look up.
I was working on the GDI campaign of Firestorm but it crashed on me. ><
Well bought some AA rechargeable batteries so have the option of going console again. But,
Now Playing:
Stalker: SoC - PC
Super Metroid - SNES
Woot! Yea! I just beat Mario Bros 3 on the NES for the billionth time. lol
God I love Mario games.
I get a new mobo in this week (I hope) so I'm going to be playing around with my music software again. :D
Recently beat crysis and PoP 2008
Playing oblivion again and crysis: warhead
Completed: Lego Starwars II - Original Trilogy
Now Playing: Lego Batman, Battlefield Heroes, FEAR, Left 4 Dead
I've started playing skirmishes in CnC3: KW and have started playing Painkiller. Painkiller is ridiculous... that is probably one of the craziest games I've played yet.
Picked up the Orange Box for 10 bucks this weekend..
Finished Half Life 2
Next up HL2:Episode 1
I beat Fallout 3, not a big deal because the main quests are easy. Playing GTA IV and COD5 on PS3.
Episode 1 was pretty good, but Episode 2 completely destroys it. The new cinematic physics engine is AWESOME in the like 3 times it's really used. I let the striders destroy the buildings the first time through cuz it was so cool to watch.
Just beat CoD5 on hard though, now I'm trying it again on veteran. Anyone else absolutely hate the checkpoint system they use? Makes the game so much harder, and destroys the sense of accomplishment when you beat one hard segment, only to die because you bask in the victory for a second.
Just Beaten:
God of War 2
Was a decent game. Felt there were a lot of stupid puzzles, well, less puzzles and more if you don't notice the little statue blending into the rest of the scene in SD then you wander around for 20 minutes figuring it out.
Really wish there were more of the huge boss fights and not the little ones. I like the huge battles, like the Colossus and the Kraken.
And finally, ugghhh, they make you get totally into the ending and then BAMMM, wait for GoW3 and buy a damn PS3. Don't have a ps3 but ugghhh I want the ending. Have to google the story when it comes out.
i finally got off my arse and beat re5. i know major shame on me.... i got stuck at 6-3 and got pissed and left the game. moved back to pc gaming for a few months.
Beat MGS4 for the second time it has been 1 week from being a year since first beating it man do I love that game I need to download the sound track for it or something.:D
I've just finished Prototype.
Its fantastically fun to play through, but the storyline kinda goes downhill throughout, which is a shame, as it starts out very promising.
Very weak ending in my opinion, if the gameplay hadnt been so much fun, i would have been pretty unimpressed with it.
Just trying to decide what to play through next, I'm tempted by Mass Effect again, as the story is so nicely done.
Or possibly beyond good and evil, as i picked it up in a charity shop a year or so back for a couple of quid and havent got round to playing it yet.
anyone got an opinion on it?
Just played through all the L4D "movies" single player to learn the lay of the land before I jumped online.
Just beat the Sims 3 (I know, technically you don't beat it, but I got what I wanted out of it) and I'm back to Guild Wars.
I was just about to beat Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes [XBOX1] when the xbox magically lost my save games, but only the recent ones. It must have had short term memory loss as my save games from 2003 are still there, just not the ones from the last few days.
Frustrating, because I still have that old habit many of us had from the Playstation 1 days where you save in multiple blocks for fear of losing a save game to a corrupt file.
So XBOX lost freaking 3 saves, but only recent ones. Ughh. Was on the last couple areas about to beat it.
Currently playing Prototype.
My wife. That game was hard as hell.
*rolls eyes*
Yeah... awful joke.
Up next: My Kids!
D:
my buddy and I are playing Halo 3 through the campaign co-op on Legendary, I had to leave for work last night when we were right about to beat the game, wonder if he beat it without me
Just Beat:
Dark Messiah Might and Magic
Thoughts: Very decent game. A few bugs and such, but overall I enjoyed it very much. Had a lot of the same things I enjoyed about Oblivion, but was linear enough for me not to get entirely distracted, lol. Was a steal for $5 on steam, and I can definitely see myself playing this one again.
Do you have any advice for getting through the start? I keep getting stuck replaying it trying to figure out what all to do and whatnot.
Hmmm, which part? I found most of the game was very linear, only got caught up a bit in one of the crypts as to where to go next. Gamespot has a walkthrough, not the greatest, but helped a little for the part I got stuck a bit on. Sorry I can't be of more help. Been a while since I was at the beginning and am not sure which portion you are referring to.
Mainly the part where you have to escape the city. Thanks for reminding me about walk-throughs, though... I forgot, lol.
Gamespot Dark Messiah Walkthrough. In case you need it. I don't remember much about the first parts of the game though, sorry. I didn't have much of an issue, so nothing really sticks out in my head about which part would be confusing. Usually the parts I get stuck on are the ones I tend to remember.
been playing world series of poker 2008 on 360. its a great way to fall asleep. :)
Finally finished up Chrono Trigger on the DS. Still can go back and save Crono and do all the rest of the side quests I haven't done.
Good game. Customization felt a bit shallow, but overall an enjoyable experience.
