I understand the corrosive properties between different metals. I was planning on using a coolant that included corrosion inhibitors. Similar to marine coolant or this http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/feonef1coflu.html Has anyone tried the feser coolant?

I also understand that the rads won't do much in the passive state, but they will do a little more with 2 30 cfm fans each. The rads are going to be used primarily as eye candy (RAM Cooler too :smoker: ). I like they way they look and I think they'll go well with the case. Thanks for bringing those things to attention though. It's always good to be reminded in the event something gets forgotten.

As for the waterblock. It's the only i7 block that newegg had so it's the one I got. I don't plan on overclocking too much. I will initially try to match the Intel flagship processor and monitor the temps from there. If I'm not comfotable with what I see, I'll back off the clockings a bit.

for watercooling products, go with sidewindercomputers instead. gary (the owner) is a nice guy, and you wont ever have problems if you miss something or stuff like that.

if you want, this is the updated version of the block you choosed, wich performs better (almost as good as the heatkiller, but is a tad more risistent)

you wont get around corrosion even with anti corrosive fluid. ive been there trust me. if you want to do anything, then go dual loops, and cool the ram with the passive rads, and keep all alu out of the cpu loop.
also, theese radiators is better than the one you mentioned earlier:)

i´ve tryid the feeser coolant, and it will miscolor your blocks and hoses. i would go with either destiled water + silver kill coil or petra´s nuke (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/peptcobi1.html), or koolance fluid. (koolance makes some crappy products, but i like their coolant.. its just expensive as hell though)
you could put some fruit color in the destiled water if you want it colored.

With the HAF 932, how did you remove the tool less drive bay locks.

I was a bit nervous myself, but it's actually not hard. They slide out to the rear of the case. You just got to get them over the the little notch on their left side and they slide right out. They seem pretty strong for plastic so as long as you don't go Incredible Hulk on them, they should withstand your attempts to get them out.

Got my newegg shipment today... Everything looks beautiful. I'll get some pics posted of the bundle that will be waiting for this case in a little while.

After looking at my stuff, I realized that my mobo box said crossfire compatible, but not SLi... The Asus P6T SE doesn't support it... Newegg was kind enough to Refund RMA it for me as it was return for same item only (LOVE NEWEGG). Once the funds have been refunded to my account, I'll be getting the ASUS P6T motherboard; $50 more than the SE.

Hey Everyone... It's been a couple weeks since my last post. Nothing much has been happening, but the project is still alive. Ordering a new motherboard tomorrow and probably won't be doing much until after the new year due to xmas and low finances. I'll keep everyone posted when there's something to actually update...

i have the same case, i was thinking about doing a similar window mod but i'm not sure how to mount the fan yet.
i'm really excited to see what you end up doing as far as the window and any lighting.

Well I finally got a break from work and school so I thought I'd spend some time working on the mod. I also gat the memory, cpu and mobo from newegg, so the motivation to push forward has increased. Anyhow, this is a short update, but I'll post more as it progresses.

So I've been working on the designs (measurements and placement) for the last couple weeks for a shroud within the case. The idea is to hide as many wires as possible as well as the pump and 120.3 radiator for the water loop. I was planning on sheet metal for fabricating the shroud, but I had a bunch of styrene left from another project and thought I'd use it. Here's a few shots of what I've come up with.

The shroud mocked up and in place...

I had to make some cuts to give access to the SATA, power and front panel cables. A bit fuzzy, but I'll post clearer pics when I get a chance to.

Finally, the shroud mock up with the door in place. Still need a piece of plexi for the door. I'll probably get that tomorrow.

Well folks. This mod has gone as far as it can. I have ideas and things that I'd like to do with it, but I just don't have the time, money, or energy to do it right now. So for all intensive purposes, this mod is complete. I will be adding some molding to the side window and will eventually get the Cape Cora radiators installed at some point. Until that time comes, below is the final product.

Thanks Will. There is more to do with the project, but unfortunately it has to wait. I have some other ideas that have come to mind with the rads you sent me and this case mod. Give me a couple of months and I'll probably be back at it again.

I decided to remove the shrouds because after looking at it for a while, they just didn't feel right to me.
