here is some progress of me cutting for cable manegement. even though this mod has used a lot of cnc, my trusty dremel is still on work!;)

oh, and btw! thanks to my new sponsor www.matronics.dk ! the package they send me is will make some awesome light for the case;)

Wow that plastic bender really makes easy work of it :), and flippydedoodar, the front & sides look unreal, like a mirror image of the renders, incredible transformation of an old case, I'm sure the finished piece will be freaking amazing.

I do remember trying to cut acrylic with my dremel and it wasn't a pretty site lol, it just melts the plastic.

I gotta say though I'm a little bit sad with a tear in my eye about cnc taking over in modding, man made with normal tools can only go so far :), but can't possibly deny how good & efficient it is, super clean detailed cuts, and you still have to design it spot on in a cad program, I'll just have to look at it as the evolution of modding, nice to see an old school dremel being used on the last shot though hehe :).

It's like Prime over at bit-tech in this months nominee's, really stunning metal work with some cnc on that too, it just gives incredible results and turns your designs into a reality spot on.

cnc does take over a lot of things, since everybody aims for perfection. ALL the metal work in this mod is made purely with my dremel, since i can only cut in acrylic:D so it has enough work to do;)

I remember as a kid being chased down the road by one of those lol, wasn't so lol at the time though, was more like shhhhh** heeeeellllllp and had to dive over someones fence, but was owned by a not so nice guy who also had an ultra aggressive rottweiler, but I'm 100% sure in good hands they are very nice dogs, same goes for any breed, dangerous dogs entirely come about from bad owners who know how to make them mean but don't know how to get them disciplined.

Couldn't help but imagine thought bubbles in each picture :D.

And so it began! i started out with about 2.5 square meters of acrylic, and now have little left.

imagine all the little holes where there is wire in, like you see above

that they be sleeved, so that every wire will look like this

Now for the explanation.

The 7 holes that sits in a square in the upper part of the cabletray is getting these inserted into them. You can then swap psu as crazy often as you like, since you dont have wires running in a maze through thousands of holes.

Now for the fun part.

I had to solder the correct cables to each of the 24 pin connector, since they were made with different lengths. Say hello to mister happy solder station!

slowly, but certanly getting all the buggers on, and applying heatshrink on each, so that i wont have any fires in there -.-

fans will have an output port like this:

The thing that was in homers background is this:

And it will be mounted like this on the backplate

And how it was put on. I tapped 4 mm holes and used some black dome head 4 mm bolts i have.

The dome head bolts will also be used on the front.

And as you can see, the 24 wires is taking up quite a bit of space in the cable tray:/ dont know if i will be able to fit the 12 wires for the 6 pins, but i have to:D

The fans also got some love

And the 8 pin got sleeved. This will also be done to the 24 pin, and 6 pins.

The little buggers in front is the clips that i had to use, to get the extender. took some time to get done, but it will be worth it!

i think that was that for this update:) Next time i will have some more goodies to show you, some of them from my new sponsor, and a little something something that i got made instead of the res i have now;)

naah:P im going all in on this one. gonna shorten the psu wires down to about 10 cm, and then sleeve them also :twisted:
