Don't want it to seem callous that I didn't donate this closes before i get paid so it will be donating straight to the family when I get paid.

Yea Sticky Threads are ignored for the most part. My brain automatically overlooks them at this point. They are great for things like rules and site guidelines but for things like this a normal thread is better.

Is there a possible update to how much money has been raised so far?

Wow, sounds a seriously rough time for a young family, never heard of PartyLikeARockstar but would donate a bit if I could, a friend of this modding community is a friend of mine, I'm absolutely broke infact a little overdrawn until the 16th, I imagine a donation on 16th or 17th is ok?.

Have to say it's really horrible the authoritys aren't willing to help because it's a family thats together :hurt:.

Yep, I got it. I will send an email out confirming your donations before the drawing.

So far we have collected $1090. I was able to transfer all the donations up to Thursday to PLARs account and he was able to secure the deposit and has the keys to the new place. He is still not out of the woods yet, as he has to have the deposits for the utilities or they will cancel his lease.

I want to say thanks to all of the donors. I am proud to be a part of a community that has shown this much support.

I second all of the gratitude and honor to be part of this forum that OvRiDe expressed. This place is truly one of the greatest forum communities online. When I came back here just over 2 years ago, it was because I was bumped off of a very popular car forum, just because I was one of the "old timers" who had been on the forums for several years and they removed some of us who might scare away a new crowd who was set to flood the forum in a few months. I now know that I made the right decision by making TBCS my home.

It really makes me proud to be part of a community that cares about its members as TBCS does. It is great to see the members of our forum and people from beyond our forum helping out a fellow modder in need.

I also have been hit by the finance bug.. things are tight atm, but I've pledged $200 to be sent ASAP. :)

I'll go ahead & say I'll chip in £30 which currently is $48 on the 16th, the price of a game I'll wait for the steam sales to buy ;), every little should help right.

So when the 16th comes up should I just send it to the paypal address on the first page?.

I donated $20. I'm pretty poor but I think most normal people should be able to spare $20. It's the sacrifice of a few meals or one night eating out somewhere nice. That's a sacrifice I think we can all make, even if you already too poor to eat out ever.
