For that kind of request you would normally email sponsor@thermaltakeusa.com
unfortunately I do not handle those kinds of requests. :D

I sent an email to the sponsor email today. As it turns out I'm really short on cash but need a computer for studio. Hopefully I can get some help!

You do seem to be paying a lot of attention to the community. That's good, keep up the good work there. And donating products as prizes for competitions and raffles. That's a great way to get a boost in community good will
and promote new products at the same time.
....now on to the less kind comments...
If you are going to provide prizes for competitions and raffles,
follow through with it. Like I said, it's a great way of building community good will, but if you don't actually deliver it just damages your credibility. Seriously, how long has it been since the t-shirt sales and PLAR raffles? Scratch that question; just checked the threads and it's been 9 months and 7 months, respectively. Anybody heard
anything about Tt delivering on the promised donations? Don't get me wrong, it's cool as hell that you offered to donate prizes for those raffles, especially when you had zero direct financial gain from them. That is not something that I would expect from an industry player and it says really good things about them. Remember what I said about building community good will? Yeah, right there; great example. But honestly? If you're not going to follow through on stuff like that it would be better to just stay out of it. Like I said, I don't think anybody was expecting you to donate to either of those raffles, so it was a huge surprise when you did. Major good will all around. But 7 and 9 months later with no word on actual delivery of promised goods...any good will that you gained by offering them has long since disappeared, imo, and I'm sure in several cases been replaced by decreased credibility and public image.
Now, as far as I can tell, not following through on something like this is
not normal behavior for Thermaltake. Which makes me wonder wtf is going on. So what can Thermaltake do for
me personally? Do
yourselves a favor and sort out stuff like this before it does further damage to your public image.

Thanks x88x. I probably would have never seen this thread if Curtis hadn't seen your post. I'll keep my mouth shut for now. I've been too frustrated over this issue to say anything nice.
Ransom, the TT rep Oneslowz28 used to deal with and which I assume is the user of the Tt-Enthusiasts account, contacted me on Facebook yesterday about my prizes. I gave him a list of what TT promised me and he said he was looking into it. Considering that Ransom made the deal with CJ in the first place I'm not sure what else is left to look into...

Honest suggestion: have someone with a good grasp of the English language redo all of the US versions of your websites. Half the time it seems like you used Google translate to write your product descriptions.

No apologies necessary for that. It happens to a lot of websites, especially ones that are global or at least multi-national. I just didn't want the suggestion to come off as me bashing TT. I couldn't find any examples on a cursory look earlier (except maybe pluralization for some things, like 'Feature' and 'Specification'), but I remember looking last week and having a few WTF moments while reading product descriptions.

I would have waterjetted that quote into the side of the case.

Can you chat with your review/marketing department? I put in to do a review on the Overseer RX-I (VN700M1W2N). Would be awesome if I got it!

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
I got the A30 and the BlacX 5G today. No word yet from Ramsom on the power supply from the T-shirt raffle. While talking to him I told him I didn't need the Challenger Pro or the Azures, and he said that he would try to get me a Black Element instead. No word on that promise either.
I'm gonna have a really hard time not buying a mobo and proc with this case sitting right next to me...

Just wondering if y'all had an ETA on getting the PSU (or switching the PSU prize to something else). I'm in no rush, I just don't want this to slip through like the other stuff did.

Hello,
The PSU should be here Monday to be shipped and as soon as we get it we will get you taken care of.
I apologize for the delay I do what I can to help but I was waiting for stock replenishment to get the PSU for you.
Thank you for your patience 8)

Get out of the water cooling industry for good....
and keep up the good work on your cases and air products.

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
Ok everyone. It looks like we have all the prize situations ironed out. If they haven't already shipped they are in the pipeline to ship asap.
After going over this thread again, there is one thing that I wanted to clear up. There were multiple issues at TBCS as well, that led to the break down in prize delivery. We had miss communications, some assumptions were made, and some staffing changes at TBCS that ultimately culminated into the problem at hand. Once we figured out what and where the break downs were, Thermaltake has been extremely accommodating in getting the situation rectified, and for that I would like to extend a most sincere Thank You! We have learned a few things from this and will strive to keep similar issues from happening again.
I would like to thank all of our prize winners for their patience and understanding, and offer my apologies as well. Also I would like to return this thread to it's original intent. Please do not post issues that have to do with prizes here. Lets keep this thread reserved for things like product support and feedback.

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
i really like the meka g-unit keyboard, but i cant buy one because of the placement of the macro keys. maybe im just lame, but i had a razer keyboard with the side macro keys in the same spot and they always got in the way. i just wish they were above the f keys or to the right of the numberpad.

I'd honestly really like to see a 10 key USB for just macros' maybe a 15 or a 20 key.
you know something you can set by the mouse pad or the keyboard and bust off some quick macros for ultima or Wow or something like that.
It'd have to be cheaper then a full out keyboard like the G series from logitech for me to want it though... But i'd rather have a durable product then a over the top fancy product.
I've now burned through three logitech mice, and my G11 keyboard isn't doing to well. Majorbud's G15 keyboard (less then a year old) is randomly turning off now.
I'm done with Logitech's peripherals. They used to be awesome, now they are complete crap, because i take care of my stuff, and s@#t shouldn't just stop working with no obvious signs of why its stopped working. Sure they have RMA, but if they made a product right in the first place i wouldn't have to worry about it.

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
ive been using my logitech g5 mouse for like 4 years(im guessing) and its still running fine.
i just like the meka because of the button feel, i love mechanical keys. the lighting is just a nice bonus.
-
Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
The G1 would work well if you dont like the placement of the macro keys, however I have used both and the G1 did take some getting used to because of hand placement but it wasnt bad.
as for personal preference I use a Meka G1 as its mechanical which to me = awesome!! and also I play SCII so I dont use macros so it works great for everything and I can even do bad stuff to it and it just wont break :P
-
Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
With regards to logitech, I'm still using the original G15 and G5 (aka with a single thumb button) with no issues with either of them. I've had them for.... 4-5 years. The only issue I've got is that the LEDs in the G15 are becoming dimmer, but I'll fix that when the time comes when they die.

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
If Tt is into speakers at all, I'd like to see what they come up with.
I'd like to see battery-powered speakers that aren't wimpy, with cables that have their own storage (annoying when they take up the battery compartment :( ) and are durable. Not necessarily run-over-proof, but I'm mainly talking about the cables not being super-cheap.
(Perhaps the cable wraps around the speaker itself?)
Not USB; not sure if USB has enough amps to power decent volume speakers. Unless it's USB PC control or something; it's just the USB speakers I've heard are extremely wimpy.
Tt, if you take into this challenge, make them stylish. Something that screams "imma ROCK this party!", but try to keep it low-priced.

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
Please remember guys this is not just about chassis, we have multiple lines, take a look at them and if there is something we dont offer or a feature one of our products does not have that you feel would be beneficial to you please let us know..
Here are our basic lineup as of now:
Thermaltake:
Chassis
Power Supply
Cooler
Fans
Storage accessories/Docking stations
hot swap multi drive bay mounts (Max Series)
then we have our gaming peripherals
Tt eSPORTS:
Keyboards
Mice
Headsets
Lan Bag
Mouse Pads
So please feel free to look over our complete line and let us know any of the above what you would like to see different or what you feel would work better for you so we can look into it and see what we can improve.
thanks guys

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
I don't know how feasible this is, but for PSU's, maybe a unisleeved modular unit. Also a modular unit with an optional extension to hide cables? Just something to cover the cables, like a triangular box that covered the cables between the PSU and the panel?
-

For that, just a three-sided box that went off at a 45* angle from the PSU, angling from the open side of the case towards the MBB tray, would work. Just match the finish to the PSU and put in some built-in mounting holes where it can be attached to the PSU, and you're good. Might not be cost-effective to include ones with every unit, but, say, put the pre-tapped holes in the PSUs and sell the shrouds as accessories.
-
Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
Leave the internals of your PSUs alone, they work great. Just sayin.
I'll have a PM for you later today explaining the holdup with that we spoke of. In short, there's a legality issue.

Sure would be sweet to have a monochromatic LCD screen w/ a readout though on the side of it.
And how come power supplies don't use squirrel cage style fans like video cards?

Because it would add a lot of length to get it to blow over the correct parts, and would be significantly louder.

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
Color shift fans. Great idea, very poor implementation. If I buy one of these (or a case that already has one or more), and I set the thing to red and then turn it off, it should be on red when I turn it back on. :dead:

I agree 100% with this. Whatever setting it's on when you turn it off is what it should be set to when you turn it back on

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
Possibly figure out how to have a USB controller for the fans?
One lead for the 3/4 main wires, another lead with 2 wires to the controller, controller to usb.
Have the controller have x amount of outputs. If you run out of control ports, you upgrade the board, or install another board. Have the software recognise new boards automatically.
Either have it take up the size of a 3 1/2" mounting bay, and/or have a 5 1/4" "external" one.
But save the color changes to something like a flash module; battery to keep all the settings isn't the best execution.
