well it was an interesting challenge to make, but im sure if you had a cool design to bend over the top i could probably give some advice on things to look out for.

took this box to its first lan party on the weekend. for some reason most people thought it was factory made. did i mention that this machine isnt a slouch. here is stats for those of you who are interested

sure can but keep in mind that the inside areas that you are askin for pics of are not pretty as your not supposed to see them under normal circumstances

sure can. im planning to take it appart again in the next few days to tighten the bolts on the top panel. it seems that they loosen a touch due to vibration. unfortunately i did not have enough forsight to get lock washers for my bolts so i have to take the panels off and make sure its all snug every now and then. dont exactly want loose nuts raining down on my board. thing here is that the back side of the side panel is not so pretty and neither is the underside of the top panel. as these are parts you would not normaly see. so just be advised that these next shots are not going to look like a millioin bucks.

Oh ya that tool came in super handy spawn. i was about half done fileing it and that was takeing forever i got that tool and i was done in about 10 minutes. well im really glad everyone liked it. it took alot of messing with to get it to that stage. did you check out the link above the first pic to see my first mod? its not quite as extravagant but it looks ok. i cant wait to do the next one but i seem to be out of cool ideas. have been for about a year. really hopeing i see something that inspires me soon.

Mod is awesome, the only thing I would change is remove that red disk on the side panel and replace it with a disk of red mesh with a 80mm or 120mm fan behind it. If the disk was big enough you wouldn't see the fan sides at all.

i was orriginaly concidering putting a red led fan there, but by measurements it wasnt going to acctually work out so i just stuck with the orriginal plan. thing is for all the bolts holding the plex to the steel on that part i put a nut or 2 i cant remember now between the steel and the plex. that way the plex would be spaced out a little bit. and behind that red circle its cut out so that the big typhoon cpu cooler can draw air directly from the side.

Ok cool, I couldn't quite see that in the picture, anyway a great mod, the cuts are perfect.

thanks dude im glad you like it. i seem to make japanese themed cases. im currently working on another wich you can expect to see in the next month or so probably. im kind of time restricted these days with working 2 jobs and all.

It's certainly loud, isn't it? I like the way the window wraps on to the top, but IMO there's one tiny detail which isn't qute perfect. And it's too late to do anything about it now.

I think it would have been better if the centre of the flag was exactly in line with the cpu cooling fan.

Otherwise, it's pretty damn good.

yes i can agree with that statement. it would have worked out nicely. here is why i didnt end up doing that. the dimensions of the design would have been skewed and would not have looked perportional to a proper Japanese flag if i were to change the position of the sun. the rays leading to the back of the case would have been far to short to add any visual effect to the case. so i would most likely not have cut them out again making this not replicate the flag properly. if it wernt for these little hang ups i totaly would have done it like you said. good eye ;-)
