Thanks. I'm still trying to decide on what I'm going to do on the back half that houses the radiator and fans. I was thinking of trying to integrate the pump somehow but still keep the top removable for servicing the fans and radiator.

Hi everyone, Sorry its been a while, been busy going to the doctors but lastnight I got some more done.
I finished painting the main round part of the body. I still have to figure out the back half.
Unweathered:
Weathered:
Then I glued the window in place:
I also started to run the el wire around the window:
I have an issue with the el wire for the other side, It has a bunch of dark spots in the wire. however when I bend the wire, they move. its like the el is not working correctly. Not sure what the problem is. I may have to replace this piece. good thing is its only tucked in behind the trim work.
Some night shots:
FYI there are 3 el wires all together.
I should be able to finish the el wire around the window and isnstall the trim ring next. After that, I can concentrate on getting the resevoir mounted.
LOL, looking at these pictures, I just realized that I forgot to paint the rivits. DUH.

DEFINITELY MIND-BOTTLING MOD!
the way you weathered that made it looked like it sat out for a 100 years!!!! excellent work!
+rep ;)
now that looks freekin sweet! +rep!!!
looks like all the work paid off!
Excellent work man! +rep
Mate that looks great, the painting really went well for you and the EL wire looks fantastic.
Thanks everyone. I'm really glad you like it.
I'd like to do something different for the back half, so i was thinking of doing some kit bashing similar to Doom3. I looked at some models but they were really expensive. A tank model was around $40. thats too much to spend to just experiment. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
maybe you could ask in model shops to see if they have any damaged kits?
craig's list and ebay are the first places that come to mind, BTW amazing airbrushing on the turbine man :D
I'm so mad.... I got the el wire done and the window frame on last night and I started to work on installing the mounts for the resevoire. I took pictures of everything and was going to bring the sd card to work to upload the photos this morning and I forgot it sitting on the counter. So sorry guys, I'll have to update later tonight.
