got my lappy up and folding, not that great of PPD but at least it is something...
I need to get my i7 folding again. *sigh*
Folding again. I had to stop for a few days till my AC in the office got fixed.
Got my server running. i7 950 and a GTX 460SE are folding. Hopefully I can fill it up with some more 460's (can have 4 total).
Gonna hit 8 million points today!!!
Well seeing as I had been running into a problem for the last few months where if I left my pc sit idle for a while (20 or so minutes) the whole thing would freeze, I couldn't really fold.
But I updated my bios and did a fresh Windows 7 install and seemed to have fixed it, so I will get my folding going again tomorrow!
Good deal man. I wish we could get more people folding for us. It feels weird to be the majority folder now. Used to be x88x
For those who are new to the concept or just wanting to get on TBCS Folding Team, what do they need to do? Is there a tut somewhere on the site they can refer to? BTW, congrats, Fuga :DQuote:

You can set the client up to either fold just CPU(single core)/SMP(Multi core) or just GPU or both. The more GPUs the more points!
Thanks guys! I'm building my little guy's rig which he wants just for minecraft :D P55 board with i5 650, 8GB RAM and Radeon HD4850 (not sure if this card is capable enough to do GPU folding...have to find out more) - if not, I am going to dig up my old GTX 216 and see if that works.

The 4850 probably wont do a lot - I ended up turning off my 4870 because it was taking more from my CPU score than it was adding - having said that, I had lots of issues and my folding is now limited to a couple of work computers which kinda sucks. I have had a 2600k @ 4.3Ghz running SMP for most of the last week but the customer is expecting his pc back this weekend heh - still was a 100k or so added to the score heh
Well I guess I will have to use the nvidia then...I will install the client once I finish building the rig...late next week, I think.

So, I've been having some issues with folding lately. For some reason, whenever my gpu finishes a work unit, it'll stop, and the client will log something about "sleeping" because of a failed unit or something like that, which is really weird because if I exit and start it back up, it'll do another unit just fine. I've double checked that the "one unit" selection is not selected, so that's not the issue.
I've tried both the Tracker v2 and the beta client you linked Fuga, but both of them do the same thing. Any ideas?
Finally got my imac up and folding again. For some reason, the current client would never get any WU's, so I had to switch to the beta client.
AANNNDDD, the Linux client doesn't work.
Are your clients set to only do 1 unit then sleep? You would have to check the settings. Maybe clear out the programs and settings and try again?Quote:

Late to the party. Been folding for a few days. Upto 35th place now. Just wish I had better hardware to chug out some real points.
I am having a similar issue as Aldersan. My GPU's will finish then just sit on "successfully sent work information" or something like that until I restart them. I can't say I looked into why it was happening though. I am using the stanford gpu client non beta.
Couldn't get folding in Linux working with the beta client. At all.
And GPU/SMP folding crashed the session in XP, causing weird artifacts. Worked perfectly on CPU, but not GPU.

Just ordered 4x GTX 460s. 2 from hardforums and 2 from ebay. My folding farm is coming together!
