I don't know if it improves performance but I couldn't fit it in the case so I chose to mount it on the outside. It was too hard for me to find spacers to raise it off the back of the case so I cut the inside of an old fan out and used that as a spacer instead. At least it eliminated the dead spot created by fans and should increase air pressure slightly.

I have some updates for you guys.
First some modifications to the drive bays for cable management.
Here is the drive bay before modification:

Next I have to expand on a pre drilled hole to make a piece of plexi sit flush.
Here is where the hole is (with mounting bolt still in it):

And here is the hole after some surgery (sorry about the bad pic, I guess you can't really see the hole):

Next we have a bent piece of mesh, no pics of the bending process but I basically used a rubber mallet and a bench vice/
Here is a pic of the bent mesh:

Ok now this is the final part of the update. I have to drill holes in the interior reservoir cover for tubing pass through.
Here is the piece of mesh, mounted:

Next I have to drill the holes, here is my trusty drill:

Well halfway through drilling the first hole the drill went dead, bloody battery, even the spare is dead.
Here is a picture of the hole so far:

Batteries charged and both holes cut:

I scratched the mesh a bit while drilling so I gave it a touch up coat of paint, looks much better now:

Rubber grommets installed into both of the holes:

And the completed mesh re-installed onto the drive bays:

And finally Here is a pic showing you how the reservoir inlet and outlet match up with the holes:

The hole on the right looks a bit out but it is just the angle the camera took the picture on, both of the holes line up perfectly.

Well guys that's all I have for you now, I am hoping to paint the drive bays over the weekend and get them into the case but I guess I will have to wait and see how that goes. Until then...

Haha thanks mate, the pair of those grommets cost me $3AUD. I used a 1/2" hole saw and the grommets are 3/4" so they fit nearly perfectly, they move around a bit so your holes don't need to be 100% perfect.

Ok guys like I said it's time for a very small update. School is back on (my final year YAY) so you will probably be seeing less of me but I will try to get you weekly updates.

Ok, on to the modding.

Here is the drive bay section completely dismantled and ready for it's coat of primer and paint:

And here is the piece being primed, well almost (I'll explain the "almost" later):

Well half way through priming this piece I ran out of primer (that was the "almost" :() and it may take a few days to get some more primer. Due to this set back I have nothing else to really show you guys but as soon as I get the primer I will finish priming and get straight on to the painting. Until then...
