I never took chem in anyway. I was able to bypass it to take Physics. So I really have no idea about your little chem riddle.
I am also having trouble figuring out the glass riddle. All of the glasses have to touch the table, right?

that is correct, all glasses are in contact with the table, and they are not in contact with each other. xRyokenX posted an answer that was very close earlier.

The answer to the chem question can be solved by first figuring out who are the players in the 3 way relationship, how do they behave, and more importantly, how do they behave in this situation?
