@Karbon Killa - Removing the connectors is part of the plan.
@p0Pe - I am using black tubing, and black anti kink coils, but I want to hide both of these under some sleeving.
@gramatton - Haha, thanks a lot man.
@jdbnsn - I'd love to see that, I've never seen it done before either. I thought I'd be the first TBH, but that's fine with me.
@Karbon Killa - I'm going o hunt for it now, hopefully I'll find it.
@DonT-FeaR - Sanity went out the door - along with all my money. hehe.
@ATX soldering - I've seen it before also as a hardcore way to hide cables. This guide shows how to solder without removing the header.

Might I suggest ChipQuik. It works very well for desoldering. The manufacturer offers free samples to SMT manufacturers; given the hobbyist PR, they may throw some your way.
Then again, after eee pc modding, a big honking atx connector will be a breeze. :)
Thanks for the links Mach, I appreciate that. I don't foresee any soldering issues as I have quite a lot of experience for a hobbiest - and a couple really nice soldering irons, one for surface mount.
I've actually used chip quick before to repair a Plasma TV, fantastic stuff but it sucks when it falls onto your lap because it keeps on burning as it rolls down your leg.
I know Mach knows about it, but I think this is a perfect time to PIMP my eeePC.

I must note that I modded my first eeePC before it was cool, and there weren't any examples to follow, or pinout diagrams at the time - just me, patience, and a multimeter.
Here is a link to one of my eeePC mods (and my first) - for those of you who haven't seen it before.
As far as I know it's the most heavily modded eeePC out there with 16additions:
2GB RAM (OCZ)
USB 32GB Flash Drive (Corsair)
16GB SDHC (SanDisk)
USB 4-port Hub 1 (Logix)
USB 4-port Hub 2 (Logix)
USB 7" Touch Screen 1 (eBay: Kiddshop)
USB ATSC wireless digital TV-Tuner (Artec)
USB Bluetooth Adaptor (Asus)
USB GPS Receiver (Route66)
mini-PCIe Wifi-N card (Intel)
Wifi-N MiMo antenna (x3)
USB Wireless Security AutoLock
USB 10-LED Light Bar 1 for keyboard illumination
USB 10-LED Light Bar 2 for internal "PIMP" lighting (w/ DIP on/off)
All onbard LED's and LED light bars swapped to 5000MCD Amber LED's
i believe the guy that did that jon... his name is markleb here on the forums
Thanks a lot man, I'd love to see this.
WooHoo! Thanks for dropping in markkleb!
And for the rest of you boys and girls, just wait until you see what this dude can do. I highly recommend checking out his gallery when he posts it.
Jon
Very awesome, you've set the bar sir. I can't wait to see the rest of it!
Thank you very much for coming and sharing.
After some solder, a touch of dremeling and some 'cablegami', I'm hoping to hide the wires completely.
