i really like #3 it's like.. so smooth in design..
i would think drilling 8 holes of diff size would be easier than cuting out a whole bunch and then fileing them to be perfect, but idk i haven't worked w/ metal so don't consider me an expert, but i know with wood, drilling is alot less pain than to cuting and sanding. but yea idk y u wanted all those designs i though plain was sweet enough.Quote:

I like the even beading that #7 has in it I think the uncut space would be to much
Quick question tribal: (Since you are the master of cutting and drilling in my eyes) ;)
I'm going to cut out a windows for my case. The metal is pre-cutted like this.
The window is going to be in regular plexi-glass (Dont know if its the same name in english, but it is the same kinda material as the one you are working with i think)
I went to the hardwarestore to get som stuff for the cutting and drilling, and the guy told me that he thought that I needed to use one of these for the drilling: (I bought both to be sure)
Made for wood: (the one in the middle of the pic)
Made for glass and tiles: link
Any suggestions of what would be the best?
The glass and tile ones will work sweet because they dont gouge to cut. They scrape. Scraping is the key to cutting acrylic(plexi). The drill bit in the middle,... I never used it but I dont trust it. It's no different then any normal drill bit. It gouges. You can grind you own drill bit to drill through acrylic.Quote:

Heres another one of my bits,...

When drilling,... you should here a hissing and scraping sound. Plus you should see crinkly ribbons coming from the hole.
Here's 3 more,... and the one I am most likely going with. Boddaker is right. I need to keep it simple as I did with the panels. Sometimes simplicity can be a beautiful thing. Also,... I still have to UV stuff that we'll all be drooling over. The aluminum and the Uv piece will work together to look good.
I like #13 for the simplicity, butI also like #14 for its complexity :p
I know! Damn. #14 is cool but it is too much. #13 is the way I'm going. OFF TO THE BAT CAVE!!! *COUGH*Garage.Quote:
