I spraypainted the black spfere in dull-white, but because of the tracking motormovement inside, I could not paint the front half.
The shortened rod with the rubber beside it.
And mounted to the cam.
The painted hubs with the tires. Too bad not 6 exact the same, but it will have to do.
Assembled the wheels and connected the LEDs. What do you think of my webcam mod?

Just for good measure, I replaced the sphere with my old webcam sphere and made the last two winter pictures.
And finaly I put him beside two of his friends....

looks really good! unfortunate about the non matching rims lol but still looks excellent.

Yeah, I might make 6 identical hub caps to camouflage the wheels a bit, but I cant do much more. I like it, and that counts most :D

2 ideas :)
- You can't paint the front side of the webcam.. but what about making some kind of white "jacket" to it?
- what do you thing about getting a printer stepper motor, lasercut some gears and make your webcam go forward and backwards sleeving the stepper cables with the usb one?
